The proliferation of the term "zog" is absurd to me. Used to be only Turner-Diaries-types would use it. That's still the case, but now Turner-Diaries-types seem to be a lot more common.

Nazi sentiment during this time was centered around hatred against other groupsminorities, it wasn’t necessarily Jewish centric in nature. Vast majority of people who were victims of violence during Charlottesville were black.

Yeah, beyond the actual spread of these fascistic ideologies, it’s concerning how a lot of terms and ideas from them get adopted in the mainstream (sometimes in the name of irony, and other times not)

The antisemitism is particularly noticeable, and it’s really uncomfortable seeing how much of it has poisoned the wells of a lot of vaguely left or pro-Palestine discourse online

It's part of the weird cultural export that 4chan does, I think. Why you also see lots of "-oid" suffixes and such, too.

I think the well-poisoning happens mostly because losers like badempanada, who were already antisemities, now see a "justification" for it and lean into that. Kinda sickening.

I’m sympathetic to the idea there’s definitely been an increase in anti-semitism in the past 5 years and the chuds certainly have their codified language that has poisoned the well but it’s genuinely overstated and overdiscussed. Just genuinely tired of the Jewish centrism of the suffering of Palestinians. Jews are always at the center of every debate, Palestinians and their culture and their lives are barely given the limelight. It’s always about either evil Israelis or the minority of embarrassed Jews who have almost hallowed positions within proPalestinian movements. Anti-semitism is now given more attention than any other form of persecution and bigotry. I have to go through almost 3 levels of abstraction to discover that Zionist Occupied Government is a neo-nazi trope.

Goes for everyone arguing over the specifics of demographic support (e.g. percentage of Jews worldwide supporting Zionism) when the reality is that it is a white euro settler colonial project and focusing on the demographics of its support serves to absolve non-Jewish white euros of complicity. That is why I get very suspicious of people focusing on the Judaism aspect and not the fact it's just another colonial apartheid state this time using historic persecution as cover. Take away that aspect and it loses a lot of its sway. It's white europeans doing white european things.

I saw some of my normie friends using some of those tropes out of nowhere. Most people who don't engage with politics do not bother to go through the nuances of Zionism vs Judaism, and don't bother to think about the fact that many Jewish people do not support what Israel is doing. The issue is that the political order in the entire world encourages this type of thinking. If you see what Israel has been able to get away with, or how everyone jumps to condemn any act of antisemitism even the ones that are mistakenly labeled as antiemetic because they are anti-Israel, if you hear the words of the Israeli state itself and the majority of politicians then the easiest conclusion is to fall into some antisemitic conspiracy. It takes education, thinking and engaging with political theory to not fall prey to this. That's just how fucked up the situation is. The choices of the ruling class made antisemitism the path of least resistance that most normies are easily falling into in different degrees.

Thinking on it, and how I used to be an antisemite myself until I got smacked in the head with a dose of reality and leftism. Anyway antisemitism really has been a boon for israel and it's no surprise it's good for them and emigration (and land stealing) if the rest of the world hates jews. Considering that Palestinians have been enduring occupation and genocide for over 80 years, it's not like they had some choice not to "give a blank check of violence". Zionists did not need a blank check for the Nakba. I think this is a really poisonous way to think about it, especially considering that Al-Aqsa Flood was basically the starting gun for the collapse of imperialist influence in west asia broadly.

More like a "blank check" for empty US missile stockpiles.
