So a new guy shows up to one of our public meetings yesterday, after maybe 20 minutes calls someone who he disagrees with a "zog bot"
I tell him not to call people that, bc "zog" originates in neo-nazism and anti-jewish conspiracy theories, say we can talk more after the meeting if need be
He slams his fists on the table and yells "ok zog bot" throws papers on the ground and storms out yelling "no god damn free speech! Zogs got em, zogs got em!"

I’m sympathetic to the idea there’s definitely been an increase in anti-semitism in the past 5 years and the chuds certainly have their codified language that has poisoned the well but it’s genuinely overstated and overdiscussed. Just genuinely tired of the Jewish centrism of the suffering of Palestinians. Jews are always at the center of every debate, Palestinians and their culture and their lives are barely given the limelight. It’s always about either evil Israelis or the minority of embarrassed Jews who have almost hallowed positions within proPalestinian movements. Anti-semitism is now given more attention than any other form of persecution and bigotry. I have to go through almost 3 levels of abstraction to discover that Zionist Occupied Government is a neo-nazi trope.

Goes for everyone arguing over the specifics of demographic support (e.g. percentage of Jews worldwide supporting Zionism) when the reality is that it is a white euro settler colonial project and focusing on the demographics of its support serves to absolve non-Jewish white euros of complicity. That is why I get very suspicious of people focusing on the Judaism aspect and not the fact it's just another colonial apartheid state this time using historic persecution as cover. Yes and no. It's useless to argue over the demographics of the genocide but Israel has a role in this too especially making the focus of the genocide Judaism and right to exist over Arabs. That cannot be ignored but as long as isrealis are also included in the white Europen colonizers then yes.

Sephardic Jews as Europeans is bit of a stretch: the vast majority came from the MENA region where their families had lived for centuries and in Israel, secular leadership historically viewed them as arabised and too religioug; they have typically lived in worse conditions than Ashkenazi Jews. It's like the "are Slavs white" question, the answer depends on the context.
But personally I think asking how many Israelis are European is a red herring, Ben-Gvir is a Mizrahi for example and non-Ashkenazi Jews have often been the base for extreme Zionist movements like Kach and Likud. Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews are like gusanos in a way: their "whiteness" comes from their loyalty to Western hegemony.
