I recently heard Obama talk about the "circular firing squad", where perfect is the enemy of good and progressive forces tear each other down for the smallest ideological differences.

Okay, this single sentence entirely changed how I was going to answer you. I need to ask: do you think that Obama is a good source on wisdom for actually making a change as big as the US ceasing to support a genocide? Like, you think he has a point here? This "perfect is the enemy of good" is used by Democrats to gather support for the genocide, which is the implicit "good" there. Like, I'd like to explain to you the futility of supporting the Democrats, but I feel like I need to start in a completely different place.

Say what you will about AOC or the DSA (I'm sure there is plenty of valid criticism), but at least they win and are executing on a plan to gain power.

Why is this a good thing? The Nazis apparently knew how to gain power. Should I support them?

What's the point of congratulating AOC on getting elected if she supports genocide? If you want that, you can vote for the other two parties anyways.

lmao. What the fuck do you think the role of a figurehead is? The administration she's a part of is currently engaging in genocide, and she has not said one critical word. In fact, she can't even bring herself to use the word "genocide". She is fully supportive of the genociders and helped Biden spread Islamophobic lies about the victims. If she's a figurehead and isn't an islamophobic genocide-lover, she has a weird way of showing it. If you are in her position and not calling for Biden to cease bombing arab children, you are complicit.

Oh and that's ignoring the fact that you are obviously being disingenuous and she's the presidential nominee taking the place of a president stepping down. "Just a figurehead". Literally the second most powerful position in the administration, and running to be the most powerful.

Edit: let me quote you to you, so we can be clear on how much of a moron you are:

Why don't you fly to fucking israel or palestine or wherever and do something about it if you care so much?

You think this makes sense, but you think Kamala is a smol widdle bean who can't do anything. That's what kind of moron you are.

You know she's vice president right now right?

Kamala is literally killing people in the street right now. Except they are Arab so you think they deserve it.

sow division

The evil Ruski plot to get people to disagree about whether slaughtering children and raping hostages is bad.

There is no division to be sown here. If someone is on the evil side of this issue, that's entirely their own personal failing. And all major political parties of all major Western countries agree on being pro-genocide. So who do you think he's trying to sow division between?

The banning non-competes is actually pretty good, don't get me wrong, but that also wasn't really him.

By the way, in case anyone misses it: the bottom of her own graph explains the yellow line isn't even what climate scientists agree on what is necessary, it is only what the Biden campaign claimed they were going to achieve. The actual climate goals set by any committee of experts you can find is actually much lower.

So this graph tells you 1) Biden didn't plan on doing anything worthwhile, and 2) he was lying about it anyways.

I can tell you're one of those people that claims there is a "cycle of violence", but there is no cycle. There is no circular causality. Israel's genocide is not caused by violence from Palestinians. It is caused by an ethno-nationalist ideology and the colonist invasion used to implement it. Every bit of violence that you will associate with a Palestinian is a justified response to being trapped, starved, beaten, deprived, and killed.

Palestinians do not do anything to cause the continued violence of Israel. If Hamas completely dissolved and no Palestinian child ever threw a rock at an Israeli tank again, they would still be getting genocided, having their homes and land continually taken from them. Because Israel and most of its citizens want this to happen. No, "we" don't need thousands of people to die. Israel needs it.
