The critical thing that makes this guy a loser is how he responded to his life's hardships, not that he has experienced them.
Yeah that’s been a learning curve with leftist thought - even people I don’t like didn’t fall out of a coconut tree - they’re responding to systematic failures (or successes I suppose) and manipulation intended to mold them as consumers. But also are choosing their reactions to said influence, which is effectively the only thing one can actually control.

They should at least make them have drunk plates like other states (different color license plates if you have a dui). But yeah Minnesota is one of the more “strict” states in DUIs too - I think Wisconsin has ignition interlock but you have to blow above a 0.08.

Man, I feel sad reading this. I can't even muster contempt.
And there are millions of men out there just like him. Not necessarily the reactionary racist part, but beaten down by life without a social support network in place to guide him out of it. It makes them susceptible to social media algorithms, and this timeline of events suggests that had a role in radicalizing him. Every town in this godforsaken country has a ticking time bomb like him waiting to go off.

I get it. One of my best friends had a kid in 2015. After they were born he found out they have an incredibly rare genetic disorder (one that’s essentially 1 in a billion) and will need 24/7 medical intervention from about the age of two onward. He started going off the deep end politically after that. COVID hit and he was unrecognizable from the person he used to be. Pain and stress can do a lot of harm. I’m happy he’s a really great dad, but his beliefs about LGBTQ people and immigrants are so abhorrent we can’t be friends anymore.
