Reparations for union soldiers is such a funny one for me. Like fuck it, if it means reparations for the descendants of enslaved peoples we can give descendants of union troops a check too.
It will make Southerners with Confederate ancestors double losers.
The slaves didnt hire the union soliders to fight and then stiff them when the war was over, what debt?
Oh yeah it's deranged reactionary nonsense. I just think it's really funny as a hypothetical to compromise and give both a check, absolutely pissing off southern whites.
As long as there is a provision banning reparations to any union families who have a member who has displayed the Confederate flag.

jokes on him, in 2024, most of those reparations will actually be in the negative due to debt slavery. And I guess some of them will have to become incarcerated as well as a result of certain businesses being transferred to them.
