Mirrored image of a manually chosen frame.

I specifically manipulated an image to make it look more like what I wanted to see and then I saw it.

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hence why the mirrored version definitely does not represent a "natural" storm.

[–] setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is the extrapolation here that photoshop is full of ghosts and/or demons?

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 6 points 2 years ago

It can be, depending on your level of imagination... and skill.:-)

[–] RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com 8 points 2 years ago

Refute that, sciencestist!

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 38 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Wait till this guy sees a frontal MRI of a human head.

Don't look if you're squeamish

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

[–] ladicius@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Bobs? These are bobs, aren't they?

[–] midnight_puker@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This doesn't seem like the work of demons to me. Seems pretty on brand for your christian god, though.

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Demons are just angels working in a different department at a remote worksite, they all answer to the same dude.

Shhhhh!! The only people that know are the ones who read the source material

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 23 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Seems like the prayers didn't work once again. Maybe next storm?

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

I forgot to send my thought with the prayers. Sorry! Next time.

[–] midnight_puker@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If I pray real hard will Duke Energy turn my fucking power back on?

[–] shani66@ani.social 1 points 2 years ago

Fuck i wish, I'm sitting in my car at three a.m. hoping my battery is good while i charge my phone after Grandma killed her battery doing the same thing.

[–] chillBurner@lemmy.ml 21 points 2 years ago

Reminds me of this

[–] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 16 points 2 years ago

OMG The storm looks so unnatural, its almost completely mirrored

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wait... I just looked up what "Pareidolia" means and like this is literally that. Seeing a face out of a pattern?

Like it's on you if you are only looking for the scary ones, the teapot that looked shocked I saw as an example was adorable and the grumpy bag. Oof heart attack of cuteness.

Feel like if you've looking at somethig scary you are gonna be looking for something scary.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm going to need you to provide examples so that I can replicate your experiment and verify your findings. Please feel free to post adorable grumpy bad and shocked teapot at your earliest convenience.

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 33 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You may definitely have grumpy bag.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Ok I believe I can state that is objectively the grumpiest bag I've ever seen. Thank you.

[–] dumbass@leminal.space 13 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children)

I dunno about all, Hurricane Katrina looks a bit sad about what it's doing.

Its definitely not happy about it.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago (3 children)
[–] dumbass@leminal.space 7 points 2 years ago

It turns into a furby.

[–] Comment105@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

Somebody has a case of the Mondays

[–] thebardingreen@lemmy.starlightkel.xyz 10 points 2 years ago (2 children)

That's not a demon, it's an unseelie prince of the Sidhe. Look at the ears and the crown. It's not that we should pray to Jebus for protection, it's that we should stop dumping CO2 into the atmosphere and pissing off the winter fae.

[–] shani66@ani.social 1 points 2 years ago

That's clearly a thallion of the shadow court

[–] dharmacurious@slrpnk.net 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm going to venture a guess that you're a Dresden files fan, yeah?

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Or the Laundry series by Charles Stross.

[–] dharmacurious@slrpnk.net 1 points 2 years ago

Ooh, I dunno that one

[–] nohaybanda@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

Smiling triceratops.

[–] khaleer@sopuli.xyz 5 points 2 years ago

It looks like tits.

[–] coffee_whatever@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

All I see is a trex head facing the viewer.

[–] CaptObvious@literature.cafe 3 points 2 years ago

All I see is a flame-type Pokémon. Kinda cute, really

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago

Checkmate, atheists.

[–] parapsyker@startrek.website 2 points 2 years ago

How is this a bad thing? You're looking from the top at an alien who has the lord simba tattooed on the scalp. That's the sort of alien I want coming to earth. They'll be singing and dancing, interacting with the wildlife, and returning earth to nature as they use the set-phasers-to-kill setting on their happy guns.

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 2 points 2 years ago

There's another storm a-brewin'.

[–] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

This is hilarious!
