I think she's just always been a lib. She just seemed further left at the time when she got popular because of how dominant right wing YouTubers were
She had genuinely good anti-capitlasit videos at one point. So it feels weird that it was just a phase for her
I think she's self aware and made the choice of money and self-interest. She knows exactly what the left's points are but she wanted to be mainstream and taken seriously as a figure in media rather than shunned off to the side by establishment media.
The thing is that she cut her teeth creating a left wing audience and everyone fucking hates her for that turn which causes her a lot of emotional distress and affects her motivation to do anything. So she just sorta floats and does nothing now.
Her ex, philosophy tube is meanwhile doing the grift better and has landed some minor Hollywood roles.
They dated? That's fucked up.

Rest in Piss "Breadtube," you had a lot of great things to say about bideo-games, movie, and internet drama, but not so much about genocide or imperialism. Fuck "Nebula" too (though I do enjoy FD Signifier I admit).

I won't act like this is a "Contrapoints is finally done" thing but it's helpful to have statements from her that have no conceivable interpretation except for something so foolish that even normal liberals would laugh at it.

Sooooo many Iranian diaspora believed this. I don't understand how you could trust them knowing anything about the history of your own family's country and what the US and Britain have done there multiple times.
I tried not to drag my own friends down when they were posting propaganda about freedom during the protests or right after the assassination of the Supreme leader by getting into an argument, but all I could do is shake my head to myself. This was so predictable that the US would escalate this into the destruction of the country. Aaaand now they're aiming for civilian infrastructure.

Breadtube did such a good job of (unintentionally) revealing the limits of western "leftist" analysis, which regularly struggles to include staunch anti-imperialism. The fact that someone like Ms. Rachel can provide so much momentum for the Pro-Palestine cause just from simply advocating for not wanting kids to get blown up, while so called "progressives" are still twiddling their thumbs and have either taken the side of liberal Zionists or continue to remain silent should be a strong indictment
So how was her video about Saw?
Rolling around in pseudo-intellectualism about how opposing torture is hypocritical because have you seen A Clockwork Orange and a bunch of other drivel, but it doesn't make a coherent thesis in the end and she concludes by saying "I'm just a youtuber, idk man" like a complete asshole.
