How do I turn into a swarm of bats?

[–] rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world 4 points 4 hours ago

You will certainly not regret having 150,000 bats.

[–] JayDee@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Those humans are quite large.

[–] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Much larger than bats.

[–] moseschrute@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

So a bus is more space efficient than pedestrians?

[–] PearOfJudes@lemmy.ml 1 points 5 hours ago

If we ever run out of room for humans to walk around I think we're cooked busses or not.

[–] kapulsa@feddit.org 8 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Often times, yes. Because sitting/standing requires less space than walking and that makes up for the extra space of the bus.

They can hook up little butt fans to the seats so when you fart they can whisk away your flatus rather than making everyone fester in your stank. I mean they don't but they can. Like how they do for astronaut ass

[–] moseschrute@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

I guess walking is like humans being in a gas state, and riding a bus is humans arranging themselves into a solid. But idk what liquid humans would be lol

[–] Doom@lemmy.world 10 points 17 hours ago

Vampire propaganda.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I have a better question - why isn’t this posted in the !bats@lemmy.world community? We would love it here. Stealing and crossposting now.

[–] RmDebArc_5@piefed.zip 5 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I simply wasn't aware of the community, I'll remember it next time

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

It’s definitely a much smaller community than lemmyshitpost, but we love anything bat-related!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

really? only 150 bats? are these fruit bats or fat american vampire bats. i would like to speak to mathematic's manager please.

[–] myotheraccount@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

That's 150 thousand bats (i am not the mathematics manager though - she was probably hit by that bus)

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

are these american thousands or are these weird european thousands with extra zeroes like their weird millions and billions tho. they have been getting sneaky beaky with their numbers, the way they count things all discrete like.

SNEAKY.

BEAKY.

[–] brown567@sh.itjust.works 4 points 14 hours ago

In the US, only 33 cars for 50 people is optimistic

[–] JelleWho@lemmy.world 36 points 23 hours ago (4 children)

Why aren't we doing this? I personally haven't found the option to turn into a bat yet

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 20 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Literally the only issue with the plan

[–] Yondoza@sh.itjust.works 4 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago)

Ethicists were too preoccupied with whether or not they should, they didn't stop and think if they could.

Yeah, fuck busses. Bats are way more eco friendly.

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

The 50 pedestrians vs 50 people in a bus is messing with my brain.

[–] Dicska@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

50 pedestrians the way they prefer it. A bus with 50 people on board, where everyone is in each other's personal space.

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 4 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah they must really be crammed in there.

[–] brown567@sh.itjust.works 5 points 14 hours ago

Double decker?

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 6 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

It's more efficient to stack pedestrians on top of each other.

[–] AeonFelis@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Wasn't there a horror movie about that?

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

And now the traffic report:

"I'm over Ventura Blvd., and all the vampires walking in the Valley are heading west."

“We expected that they fly around each other and they never have physical contact,” Hristov said. “We have found, shocking to us, that bats crash into each other quite often. It’s a messy situation, but generally it’s very safe and it works very well.”

Do they all want to go to the same place?

And, cannot the bats fly? Surely there could be far many more.

Speaking of flying, lets just have spaceships for everybody.

I don't recall this version of Batman but I'm all for it.
