A fair judgement
That has always bothered me too. Then I wondered: what if lightsabers can't slide down when they're touching like metal sword can? Maybe they're "stuck" in place. Do we ever see that happen?
I had the exact same experience... What a cool boss fight though.

One of my favorites is the Jedi master robes. In the original trilogy, Lucas clearly intended Luke's black robes to be the "master" garb, but Obi-Wan was already so iconic that future Jedi wound up matching the bland desert outfit that he happened to be wearing.
It has some miles on it, but it still runs.
I'd love to be this person's neighbor.
If it didn't just mess up, maybe that was intended to be his chair?
