It really dooby that way, I've said many times that Milennials seem like the sanest generation in the west (and I don't think this is due to age, if I compare today's 20 year olds to the 20 year olds of 10 years ago, there's still a huge difference) I think we really were the peak, and I'm not saying this out of hubris (it was entirely out of our control).

basically we were young enough to

  • grow up with some semblance of diversity
  • information technology
  • and not inhale vaporized lead gasoline

but still old enough to

  • not play candy crush in the crib
  • eat a diet of only 1% plastic instead of 10% plastic
  • experience an atmosphere that wasn't majority CO2
  • read a book

despite this even the majority of millennials are garbage so yea. age doesn't mean much

actually gen z reads more than millennials do.

I was confused seeing that group on top tbh, but looking at the other questions it looks like it was just easier to trick the young people with leading, and/or zoomers who support a ceasefire are more passionately anti-Zionist while it seems like a lot of millennials might both support a ceasefire and support Israel?

You should see the previous questions

Do you think Hamas allows gay people to live together openly or punishes them?

Do you think Israel allows gay people to live together openly or punishes them?

Do you think Hamas uses civilians in Gaza as human shields to hide from justice or is not doing that?

Do you think Hamas is supported by the majority of Palestinians in Gaza or is Hamas a terror group that rules the people of Gaza with force and fear and is not supported by them?

Do you think that the long-term answer to the Israel-Palestinian dispute is for Arab states to absorb the Palestinians, for there to be two states, or for Israel to be ended and given to Hamas?

Some people say Hamas and Israel both have fairly equal just causes. Others says that there is no moral equivalency between the terrorist murders of Hamas and the actions of Israel. Which is closer to your view?

I dream to ask such dishonest questions

[–] mar_k@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

For the second to last I'd frame it like

Do you think that the long-term answer to Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine is the genocide and violent displacement of Palestinians, for Palestinians to be given a microstate of infertile land after being violently displaced from their native land, or for the dissolution of the far-right government of Israel in favor of a single, democratic secular state?

Even my good liberal Biden-voting Boomer parents are appalled with Israel.

[–] MerryChristmas@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

My dad thinks all Muslims look like one of those post-9/11 caricatures from the Bush-era newspapers and even he is like "yeah that's fucked."

[–] PorkrollPosadist@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

My dad used to be a complete chud but one of his coworkers managed to obama pill him.

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 38 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Honey, what do you want for dinner tonight? Pizza or burgers, even if burgers gives victory to Hamas?

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago

Burgers it is goku-halal

[–] zifnab25@hexbear.net 31 points 2 years ago

Unfortunately, this is as good as it gets from the polling suite.

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 30 points 2 years ago

you have to get into literal boomers before people side with you god damn

[–] SteamedHamberder@hexbear.net 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Everyone over 65 got a handjob/fingered while watching “Exodus” in the theater and it shows.

[–] ashinadash@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

They all got fingered by the zionist entity

[–] Des@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago (1 children)

damn us elder millennials are doing pretty ok in this

[–] D3FNC@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago

That's because every single one of us remembers not understanding how the fuck invading Iraq or Afghanistan had jack shit to do with 9/11 and arguing with our parents about it, only for them to all later pretend they were never for the GWOT

One of nature’s cruelest jokes

[–] morrowind@lemmy.ml 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Do you have the link to the study?

[–] context@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] blight@hexbear.net 18 points 2 years ago (1 children)

this isn't context - it's the text itself

never have i felt so betrayed by a username oooaaaaaaauhhh

[–] context@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago (3 children)

not so, i merely posted a link to the text, a signifier that will be useless many years from now when harvardharrispoll.com no longer exists

[–] blight@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

i am not prepared to learn about computer text encoding formats

This site isn't exactly old yet, but it has outlived many.

[–] context@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago

i'm glad you caught the subtext that hexbear.net will continue to exist and have a userbase trying to fact check this post

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Ya know people keep telling me it's wrong to say the boomer generation is shit and then somebody asks them their opinion on something.

Thanks for backing me up with nearly 100% consistency, you rotten old fucks.

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I feel like a 43/57 split is pretty far from 100% consistency here

Ironic that the children understand the world better than the adults who have a literal child's understanding of the world.
