It really is funny that the me too movement died over night as soon as somebody accused Biden.

A full year of "times up" and "believe women" until exactly one women accused Biden and every lib immediatly did a spot on Kavanaugh impression without a whiff of irony.

I read sonething a little while ago about a study where they asked respondents if there should be work requirements for medicaid. One third opposed it, two thirds supported it.

The pollsters then explained to respondents that everytime that has been tried it cost more money than it saved money, led to less people on welfare, and most of the people who got kicked off welfare weren't frauds they were elderly people that couldnt navigate all the extra digital hoops to jump through.

After having this explained they asked the question again, one third supported it, two thirds opposed it.

Now you'd think that would mean the problem is the 1/3rd od the country that is comically evil and explicitly just wants to punish people and cause suffering regardless of economics or whatever.

But the real problem is the 1/3 of the country that is so politically illiterate they don't even understand the consequences of their own beliefs.

These beliefs aren't based on anythin least of all real world evidence. They just say what they think sounds right and don't give it any further thought even if it means that they're voting against their own interest.

It's encouraging so many changed their minds after being presented with factual evidence, or at least it would be if I didn't fully bel8eve they would just as easily change their mind again if some republican hack didn't tell them that kindergarten teachers are doing gender reassignment surgery.

You literally can't have an effective outreach for a third of the country because they're so fucking empty headed a whole campaigns worth of messaging and campaigning can be undone by a doomsday preacher that happens to be a few steps closer to the vot8ng booth than you were.

The economy is just three people standing in a circle handing a check for $1 million back and forth saying they've doubled, what now trippled, wait now quadrupled profits.

people don't want a summary of reddit, they want reddit.

Removes r/all so people can only see a highly moderated and sanitized version of the site

"Seasame street didn't change you just grew up to be a bad person" is a pretty succinct description of modern day American culture.

The most frustrating aspect of interacting with American hogs is their ability to accurately recognize a problem but somehow come to the exact opposite of a usable solution.

Xbox and Playstation are dying because they've raised the prices on a decade old genertion of consoles whereas previous generations got cheaper as time went on to expand the player base.

Gaming companies are now being explicit about the fact you don't actually own the game and they can shut it down whenever they want.

Studios grind developers into the dust then fire them the day after a game launches, even if it's wildly successful.

You have to pay upwards of $100 to get a game that doesn't intentionally have base aspects pulled out of it so the standard eddition of games are noticeably lacking.

Obviously all of this has nothing to do with capitalism and the only thing wrong with these studios is they included a female character that isn't wearing a shoestring bikini in this gritty post apocalyptic setting.

As somebody who had a couple of those usernames because I'd regularly make new accounts and wasn't gonna waste time coming up with clever or self identifying usernames it was equally annoying to have any valid criticism dismissed immediatly because somebody who had posted 48 times that day that kamala Harris is khalesi said you were a bot because of that username format.

But before they figured that one out it was just you getting a dozen "da, sure thing comrade ivan" comments anytime you pointed out Hillary was a dogshit candidate.

I'd almost take the sincerity of 4 chan. At least they were self aware. Now you have the same ideologies with worse execution but they also think they're brilliant saviors of the white race rather than a bunch of CHUDs.

Maybe it's just enshitification and hopium but either more than 50% of "users" are bots or your average redditor is becoming indistinguishable from one.

A decade ago if you had a typo in the body of your post you'd get ripped to shreds now I constantly see highly upvoted posts and comments that are not only unintelligible they are incomprehensible.

I really can't believe there's 10s of thousands of people upvoting posts with titles like "what's then one thing you'd couldnt misrumber?"

Super good sign for the future of the country that "have you considered not intentionally being a massive piece of shit at literally every opportunity" is a superior foreign policy than whatever were doing.

There's plenty of blame to go around but Bibi really is punching above his weight class.

He's undermining the "peace talks" daily. Everytime there's something that could possibly be the first step to deescalating he puts out a statement that literally is just "we will kill whoever we want whenever we want, as is our right"

He's deffinitly not exactly boosting your average burgers opinion of isreal.

It cant detect Hitler particles.
