Easy. It's Atlantis. Not only Americans would fail here, also ancient Greeks because they located Atlantis somewhere in the Aegean sea where an undersea quake sunk a couple of islands. Claiming Atlantis was lost and can't be found, of course, is cheap. It takes the illuminated mind of a trained alchemist to see the truth behind the blindwork of the temple knights and the dark forces of the Vatican.
Americans might do better on average at Ancient Greek geography than Ancient Greeks would at American geography, but it’d be close.

Okay but what is that country really? It's obviously not real, but where is the shape from? Is it just made up, is it another country (I wouldn't know which one) or is it the shape of some fictional place?
It looks like Antarctica to me, but I'm too lazy to check.

That's North Canary Island. It's not on many maps because it formed recently from a submerged volcano. Maybe you remember hearing about that a few years ago?
