What on earth of he even trying to do? If he's trying to chop that tree limb down, he's swinging the axe in the wrong direction, and obviously he can't use a saw because they are too effeminate. These kinds of posts always crack me up as they always seem to come from people who have no ideae whatsoever how to do any physical labor task

I would do it very macho like with a reciprocal saw.

[–] SchillMenaker@hexbear.net 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Is that bad to do? Because if it is I definitely don't do that all the time.

[–] nefertum@hexbear.net 39 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm older than this guy and I'd use a saw 🤷

watching him huff and puff while trying to look like he's definitely not huffing and puffing at the end when the branch was finally ripped (and absolutely not chopped) from its place was really funny

Honestly surprised he didn't maime himself. Every time he swung down with his lead foot planted in front of himself it made me cringe a little bit.

If anyone here ever has to chop wood, be sure to stand with you feet shoulder width apart and only chop strait down. That way if you bounce off the wood or miss, you don't chop into your shin or foot.

Struggling to win against something that isn’t fighting back is a pretty solid metaphor for performative masculinity. 10/10, axedude

Edit: oops I meant to reply to the OP

This post is 10/10 axe handling safety.

Uncle Kharn says: "Kids, remember to hold your axe safely and properly and KILL! MAIM! BURN! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"

obviously the move is to drop your center of gravity into a wide horse stance as you split the wood, rendering you impervious to attacks ffrom the sides, but you might fart

I am begging the internet to bring back these three words and use them as the ultimate weapon against this flavor of hogs: Internet Tough Guy.

We kind of have it with ‘aura farmer’, but it’s not as precise.

Oh man he can't be serious this is him in the comments:

I come from a long line of fighters. My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War Two veteran killed twenty men and spent the rest of the war in an Allied prison camp. My father battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight.

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 15 points 5 months ago
