My only problem was caused by windows bullshit. I tried the Bf6 open beta and had to turn on secureboot. It fucked with my graphics card drivers and once I turned it off I had to switch the drivers around again to get good performance on Linux again.

Otherwise, most things Just Work between Steam and other launchers. I've noticed some things like worse performance on Nightreign and screen tearing in Silksong even though it has a native Linux version. But otherwise it has been all good.

Out on a date:

Me: British food encapsulates Marx's Commodity Fetishism. They conquered the world in search of spices but their own food is bland because they're more in love with spices, food people need to eat to survive, as a speculative asset to be traded than an experience to be eaten.

Ordinary people: What the FUCK?

Creative people: OMG I want to PEG this guy SO BAD!

They haven't changed the headline three times, they're A/B/C testing the headline for the most rage clicks and different users are just reporting what they're seeing

I played a bit during Server Slam and it was alright. It kind of sucked playing solo because if you got downed there was nothing you could do, but otherwise the game feels very good.

The sound design is amazing. Sounds carry from across the map with the right sort of low-pass filtering for how far away the sound happened, complete with the right amount of reverb and echo. Breaching locked compartments for loot also makes noise which you become very mindful of. It's kind of like a stealth game with normal 3rd person mechanics.

I think you can do up to 3 person squads so I'd only actually buy it if a friend or two picked it up. Everything about the game works well but it is meant to be played in co-op.

I felt a bit down all weekend because Metallica were in town and I couldn't get a ticket. The shows were announced this time last year which wasn't the best time for me, and I wanted to wait until closer to the date to get tickets because you never know if kids are going to get sick, or if you're going to get sick, and the extended family that lives with us likes to get gastro all the time that they might pass on to us.

Ticketmaster has made shows so fucking expensive these days as well, and I'm paying a second mortgage in childcare so I can go work to pay the first. Which makes buying tickets to shows harder to justify, especially ahead of time.

I only found out last week Blood Incantation were playing the same night as well, which I would have gladly gone to instead but of course it was sold out too. So my favourite band of all time and my favourite band of last year were both playing the same night and I couldn't go to either. It makes me feel like all my time and attention is being sucked up by life and kids and shit and I don;t have time for anything I actually want to do.

My girlfriend fell pregnant less than a year after I finally got a full time job after 5 years of fucking around trying to find anything, and it was twins, so I've felt like I never got a chance to do anything I wanted to because I was either trying to find work and money, then not long after I had that I got a double whammy of kids to worry about.

"Are you Xi Jinping or Spongebob?"

Actually, there's an entire spectrum of people to look up to. You should ask me what my fandom is first

And people share the screenshot into the comm based on which sized spoon Stalin would have brought to that person's family farm

Anyone else here in the 5 Alarm x Demo Derby '68 fandom?

Then I come over and just jiggle it a lil' bit
