You're right about the prog part, many of their games had cover art by Roger Dean. It doesn't even matter that they had nothing to do with the games.

You're right, this looks like the album cover for a bomb-ass prog album from 1986 by a band that started incorporating prog elements into their thrash sound.
You should also check out the band Traveller. They're a modern band with this sort of retro sound and this is their exact aesthetic

Ah shit, you’re right. I was mixing it up with Lemmings, which was on Mac. I had a grip of games my uncle had put on there. Those along with Aperion and Tetris were my go-tos in the 90s.
