Baby birds all cuter after they like 2 weeks old. A ton of newborn things look pretty ugly.
The aye-aye is weird-looking enough as an adult, but it looks like a Jim Henson creation as a baby.
I mean, there are a bunch of cute Henson creatures, but I neither disagree with you nor think this thing is in any way cute as a baby
I read all the comments to see if the aye-aye was mentioned.
Definitely humans. I mean, look at newborn babies. They are little wrinkly screaming poopgoblins.
You could describe the elderly in the same way.
Touché. I guess you're right.
But right in the middle, some of us are... well not terrible. Not necessarily great, but not terrible.
At that point it's more about our actions.
We end the way we began.

Pretty much every bird
Except the birds with precocious chicks. They're pretty much all cute. For example, the baby killdeer is adorable. baby chicks and baby ducks are pretty cute too.
Damn, good point. Ducklings are adorable. And look at this little guy!

Yeah. Came here to say most rodents would fit this bill though even the adults aren't for all tastes. Mice, etc. are much cuter when they have fur.
Newborn cats aren't all that great looking.
also rabbits and squirrels, but it seems that capybaras and beavers are born with fur
Ladybug. The baby is a demon spawn made to eliminate aphid. It's good but not cute, it's metal.
Similarly, antlions. The adult just looks like a weird dragonfly while the larva is an alien-looking burrowing ambush predator with spikes and giant mandibles.

Birds and humans.
Also a lot of rodents, like mice, rats, etc.
Pandas and kangaroos come to mind immediately. Probably every marsupial would make the cut here too.

Yaknow... There's a freshly born stage and then a teenie cute stage.
Many freshly born animals are not cute at all. Even for a few weeks. Then you give it 2 months and it's cuter. Still a baby.
nope, all kittens are cute. Most puppies, however, I find very un-cute!!

Barn Owls all day long
Most birds, really.
Parrot
Stellars Jays spring to mind. One of the most beautifully punk-rock looking birds and worryingly intellegent, but my god their young look like nothing more than cancerous scrotums.
Platipus - they start as boring eggs
Fun fact: baby platipi are called puggles
Small spiders. They are not fast, and then help keep my environment bug-free.
Edit: I misunderstood the assignment. I thought the question was asking which animals I found cuter after I became an adult.
Hahaha, but that would have been a great question.
I'm going with snails. When I was younger, my family made a big deal about hating them in our garden, which is maybe fair. But now I'm an adult without a garden, and they're just some cute, hungry little freaks.
Get an aquarium, you can have all kinds of cool snails and they're super easy to care for.
Guinea pig
I dunno. This is a tough one, because guinea pigs are absolutely one of the cutest at birth. Folks expect them to pop out pink and blind, but they come out like tiny little guinea pigs. Already have their hair, almost ready to walk, eat hay, and make jelly beans.
Don't get me wrong, adult guinea pigs are pretty damn adorable. But the babies are the cutest, right up to about 4 weeks old when the baby boys start screwing their sisters and Mom.
I'm having trouble trying to decide. The only difference I can think of between the babies and the adults is size, and I think being smaller always makes you cuter.
Frogs
Tadpoles can be cute, but I think frogs beat out tadpoles for most people.
Horses
Mud daubers or damselflies in a 'Ghibli characters come to life' way. Those things look like they flew straight out of a Ghibli flick.
