I dont think it is? Definitely not in the circles I run in, (work, social and family.) You may have just stumbled into a pod of simpletons. They congregate from time to time.

The red light situation is insane since then. People would always push it a bit here and there, but now i routinely see people with a red fly through an intersection after people with the green light have already entered the intersection. Social media has convinced simpletons that because they see "movies" of their own life on their devices that they have plot armor. And it will take a serious accident to make them learn otherwise. Its frightening as fuck to share the road with people like that.

How lucky! Yeah I read it in my senior year AP class. We all got to choose from a list and my teacher essentially forced me to read it because he knew it would challenge my know-it-all streak. And it totally did. He was a great teacher.

Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko. A challenge (and a little silly?) to be sure, but vivid and mind bending.

Thanks for introducing me to rougail! That sounds so fucking tasty

I looooove the after! Much less bizarre. Well done!

The thumbnail itself is the silliest ai shit. So his shirt becomes his arm then turns into his shirt at the wrist. And thats why these idiots are so mad. They are too stupid to see how actively bad it all is, but that's your fault for being perceptive, not theirs for being a compulsory idiot. These people are so lucky breathing doesn't require critical thought.

No need to wonder. You are spot on.

I know you said software, but I would like to suggest a musical instrument. They still require learning a new language and typically provide a huge level of self satisfaction. A cheap keyboard or guitar can provide literally thousands of hours of study.

To believe anything these companies claim about their model is to demonstrate you're a gullible simpleton. You're exactly the type of non-critical thinker they need to thrive.

Life involves effort. Crazy, I know.

This is way tall yall! Be careful!

Obviously its a necessity to feed ourselves, but im talking deeper here. What inspires you? Who are your muses? What beyond the basic need to eat keeps you excited about food?

I am endlessly inspired by Nigella Lawson and her entire ethos around cooking. "Food is both a pleasure palace and a sanctuary." "Cooking is a balm in troubled times." "Food has the ability to make a real difference, every single day." So many amazing quotes of hers ring around my head when im in the kitchen.

For me, cooking is spiritual, practical, creative and scientific all at once. It gets me on my feet, off my screen, and allows me to nourish myself and those I love. It requires all of my senses and no matter how practiced a recipe is there is always an element of improvisation.

I could go on, but im much more curious....why do you cook?

I'm currently super into Chez Panisse Vegetables by Alice Waters and Mexican Today by Pati Jinich. Vegetables is just so useful, I use it as a reference all the time now. And there are so many great ideas! This is my first Pati book and I have to say her food is phenomenal. Everything I've made has been a 9 or 10/10. And she is just a total delight to top it off.

What about yall? Any books in heavy rotation right now?
