I'm a bit worried. Since the upgrade to 0.19.0 I have been getting 1 on all my comments. Indicating either my normal engaging personality has left me, I never was and the pity has stopped, or maybe I'm not being seen.

Tommy can you hear me? Can you feel me near you?

Tommy can you see me? Can I help to cheer you?

The one we can't see. You know, the one right up there.

[-] Klear@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Here's the copy of all the text I can't see:

Hope that helps.

[-] MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 year ago

Weird, I see "hunter2" in between the lines.

[-] I_Miss_Daniel@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

The one you were just playing. The one inside your rusty innards thwack.

[-] agent_flounder@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Could you type a little louder? I can't smell this comment at all.

[-] rhacer@lemmy.world 39 points 1 year ago

You get a reply just because it's the quality of your post

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 1 year ago

I'd have been happy with a down vote or anything. I even tried a more controversial take to see if I could get kicked to the curb. Nothing worked. I was just being ignored.

It was like being back in high school again.

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 4 points 1 year ago

Looks like all your recent posts have plenty of interaction

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago

You mean the ones you see? Exactly.

[-] governorkeagan 38 points 1 year ago

There’s a bug on v0.19 that is affecting outgoing federation. I believe it’s fixed on v0.19.1.

Relax.

I’d like some information first….

Just the basic facts

[-] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Can you show me where it hurts?

[-] M137@lemm.ee 23 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

All of lemmy seems to have slowed down massively. The "active" sort shows the same posts for days in a row, and the "hot" sort is now as slow as "active" was before (same posts for a couple of hours to a day at most).

It really seems like there are like 80% less active users than just a few weeks ago.

[-] MargotRobbie@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago

It's the holidays. And the strike is over, I have work and can't spend that much time shitposting on social media anymore.

Probably because people are leaving due to the extreme lack of niche content and the same armchair activist bullshit constantly taking up the feed and comments sections.

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 year ago

You don't like Lemmy's reposting of Reddit's reposting of Xitter?

[-] Damaskox@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

people are leaving due to the extreme lack of niche content

Gotta get active and be a creator for such content yourself then, eh? To raise possibilities to get other actives around while at it.

armchair activist bullshit constantly taking up the feed and comments sections.

I encourage to ignore or block communities/users/whatnot that don't add any content to your interest or cause harm for ya.

I have become comfortably numb.

[-] shinigamiookamiryuu@lemm.ee 18 points 1 year ago

Uh, had a slight weapons malfunction. But, uh, everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

[-] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago

Boring conversation anyway. We're gonna have company!

[-] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Relax, I'll need some information first, just the basic facts, can you t show* me where it hurts?

[-] selokichtli@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 year ago

Just hijacking your post and concern to say that I love the cover version of Comfortably Numb by Scissor Sisters. If you are Pink Floyd purists, don't even bother.

[-] die444die@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I’m a huge Pink Floyd fan and I also love the Scissor sisters version. And I normally don’t like many covers of songs at all. I think there’s just something special about that one for me.

[-] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 14 points 1 year ago

The only one-comment post in your history for the past week or two is let it snow.

I've noticed the same, but when I check other instances, it seems like all my comments and posts still arrive at the other servers. I think it's just that most Lemmings are busy preparing for Christmas.

0.19.1 is out, that did fix at least one bug related to the ActivityPub endpoints.

I had similar problems, and also had read posts stay on my feed. v0.91.1 came out yesterday, and seems to have addressed a few issues for me.

[-] anothermember@beehaw.org 10 points 1 year ago

Funnily enough I've also noticed that my comments on Lemmy.ml have only been getting 1 point in the last week. Probably because they're not interesting enough but since you mentioned it...

Interesting, I've swapped to scale sort and everything seems a lot more active

[-] Klear@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

hunter2? That's the kind of password an idiot would have on their luggage!

I've heard you can get banned from an instance other than your own and it isn't obvious it's happened, not sure how common that is or how to tell

[-] squirrel@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 year ago

It was very quiet for a bit. The update screwed federation, but my instance updated to 0.19.1 and posts are showing up again.
