Probably because people are leaving due to the extreme lack of niche content and the same armchair activist bullshit constantly taking up the feed and comments sections.
You don't like Lemmy's reposting of Reddit's reposting of Xitter?
Gotta get active and be a creator for such content yourself then, eh? To raise possibilities to get other actives around while at it.
I encourage to ignore or block communities/users/whatnot that don't add any content to your interest or cause harm for ya.
Yeah the majority of people I know aren't interested in being content creators. I know I'm not. Every now and then I'll share something, but I have no interest in spending time making a community
If you're willing to lose a community otherwise, then that's fair enough.
