Man, the mercator projection really messes up the perspective, I never would have guessed!!
So thats why the Portuguese description on products is always smaller than the Spanish one!

I don't get it. The joke is "haha it's actually not a misleading projection"... ?
Mercator's deformation show up when you move countries north/south. Since Portugal only moved slightly East the apparent size basically didn't change. (You can even see and compare real Portugal just left of the red projection)

The mercator projection really oversells the size of portugal. If you ordered a large pizza you’ll have to eat it outside of the country.
