Do we do "epic vulgar roasts" at parties?

I enjoy a little light-hearted ribbing, but I feel like using "forbidden words" is the sort of thing someone with no friends thinks is a good time

[–] Frivolous_Beatnik@hexbear.net 44 points 1 month ago

Yeah, the funniest cry-laughing moments I've had among friends are usually like, talking about absurd shit people have experienced, or light hearted jokes about people you know well.

Grok's "humour" style is just "look at that [ABLEIST SLUR] [RACIAL SLUR] [SV 'JOKE'], roasted epic style 😎". Honestly painful to read

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 35 points 1 month ago

The only people at elons parties are hoping for money or prestige, and they get nothing but a robot saying "forbidden words" at them. Sounds about right

Elon Musk is 54 and Joe Rogan is 58

The 21st century is cooked and it’s in no small part because a lot of gen x are boomerized themselves. Here they are acting like perpetual 20-somethings and under their watch, life has deteriorated so much: no one can get jobs and no one can afford rent so only they end up enjoying the life that should be for 20-somethings, much like how baby boomers are still trying to do.

Musk is only immune to endless β€œhow do you do fellow kids?” because he’s a chud, and chuds are somehow welcomed as β€œfellow kids”…because they’re all 12 deep down.

can this man make a public appearance without it being endless cringe fuel?

imagine you're at a social event and some weird old guy in a dumb jacket comes up taking a photo of you and is like "grok do an epic vulgar roast of this person. make it super epic grok"

yikes-1 yikes-2 yikes-3

[–] Self_Sealing_Stem_Bolt@hexbear.net 40 points 1 month ago (2 children)

me, a normal human:

"What's say we take this party up a notch and get a chat bot going on an epic roast?"

[–] FumpyAer@hexbear.net 29 points 1 month ago

You would have to feed the chat bot a ton of their personal data to even begin to have an accurate/salient roast. Or give it a picture of them, which we can assume through TOS basically gives them the ability to legally use their likeness forever.

But yeah, it's also a VERY not normal thing to think is entertaining at a party. Especially when the one instigating it is one of the most powerful men in the world.

throw in a little ambien, some Chardonnay, and that would be quite an epic occasion

Elon, without using Grok, could you please explain what a party is and maybe give an example of a fun party you’ve been to and what you did there?

[–] PaulSmackage@hexbear.net 39 points 1 month ago (2 children)

How about "The Roast of Elon Musk", but it's al pastor style.

[–] rubber_chicken@hexbear.net 30 points 1 month ago

There are some things a bit of pineapple can't mask.

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago

Rotisserie chicken.

What if we did an epic vulgar roast of Elon? matt-grillin porky-scared-flipped

[–] invo_rt@hexbear.net 34 points 1 month ago

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 33 points 1 month ago (3 children)

[–] Meltyheartlove@hexbear.net 32 points 1 month ago (1 children)

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 18 points 1 month ago

Who the fuck says vulgar like ever. I don't think I've ever heard someone say that word out loud

[–] InappropriateEmote@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I use it often enough and feel like it's a not all that uncommon of a word. It's the context this buffoon is using it in that is weird and out of place. No one uses it like that. It's just uncommon enough that it makes his poorly placed use of it here reek of "teen with a thesaurus trying to sound smart" energy.

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

No one uses it like that.

I remember it being used like that by WASPy boomers clutching pearls. Like it's the way some HOA-type ghoul or evangelical lich would use it while sputtering indignantly about the kids these days.

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago

Only time I have ever used it IRL is quoting that banger passage from the first pages of state and revolution about blunting the revolutionary theory of its edge and vulgarizing it.

Become the life of the party with this simple AI prompt: "Grok, here's a picture of my friend. Call them the n-word a bunch"

[–] mendiCAN@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

what if you put the camera on them and did an epic compliment tho

yeah just literally just point the camera at them. and now do a vulgar compliment of this person. But then keep saying; "No, make it even more effusive. Use loving words even more. And just keep repeating even more affirming.

Eventually it's like "holy f*. its trying to jam smoke up their ass and have it uplift. it's next level.

this has the same impact mehinks. guy just be showing who he is, all the time

[–] arsCynic@lemmy.ml 28 points 1 month ago

Meanwhile I feel shame when misspelling a word.

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago
[–] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

These people really do just want to atrophy their brains so they never have to think again.

Honestly, it feels like most westerners want the same.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago

[–] FnordPrefect@hexbear.net 24 points 1 month ago

The best part is that the entire internet just had a memeable moment at melon-musk's expense because of Grok being forced to do the exact opposite of this

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 24 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

it's going to be an epic vulgar roast.

I stopped reading here, dunno what happens next and I dun wanna know

If Elon Musk still had the lib mask on, he’d be paraded around by the oil industry as a laughingstock to use against anyone who even looks at EVs.

[–] Acute_Engles@hexbear.net 20 points 1 month ago

Someone pulls out their phone and tries to use grok at a party they have 5 seconds to show me that it says musk drinks piss or i'm leaving the party

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago

Nobody has to talk like this. I want to stress the period at the end of that sentence. I want to emphasize the word β€œhas” as well.

None of this is needed. He could be his entire awful self and not have to talk this way. Talking this way is not integral to him or anyone else’s personhood or career or whatever.

I’m not saying anybody should do anything. I’m just pointing out that the way he talks is unnecessary.

So when you read this shit and people toss words around in the zeitgeist like β€œcringe” understand that they are articulating a deeper feeling when it comes to this particular guy. The unnecessary-ness of him.
