On Sept. 11, a customs and border protection supervisor working with the FBI Milwaukee identified himself as Joe and said he wanted to speak to Stanton about the posts he had been making, the complaint states.

Stanton responded, "Go (expletive) yourself," the complaint states.

Later, federal prosecutors said he texted the agent several times with comments such as:

and "Hang yourself..."

Stanton also posted what appear to be screenshots of the text thread between him and the federal agent in other TikTok videos 12 News Investigates has seen online.

Stanton also sent a meme comprised of an animated representation of Charlie Kirk with a bleeding neck wound. A caption accompanied the image which stated, "This should be a lesson on how To [sic] deal with fascists. You don’t Debate [sic] them, you delete them."
