/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

“Also, one of my officers is a retired terrorist who still behaves like a terrorist most of the time, and another officer is a full-time terrorist (and also not an officer).”

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 27 points 1 month ago (3 children)

And then there's the tailor... the less said, the better.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago (1 children)

(Psst, that’s the not-an-officer.)

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Aware, just building on.

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

It's insidious!

He's also a well renowned gardener... and totally not a former black-ops operative.

[–] InfinityOfThought@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Don’t forget an experienced torturer.

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

And a wonderful lunch companion

[–] ooterness@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

"And then there's the time my officer took a vacation on planet vacation, and decided to do a terrorism."

I have been trying to find the one of these where he's a pony for so long

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

And one of them dabbled in it because he's kind of a prude.

[–] neuracnu@lemmy.blahaj.zone 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Based take from Gabriel Bell.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Gabriel Bell pumps his shotgun in response

Janeway: personally terrorises the borg

[–] MaggiWuerze@feddit.org 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I like to imagine that, at a certain point, the Borg just changed course, when they saw the Voyager in the distance

[–] AceBonobo@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

We are the... NOPE

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They were hoarding coffee. What did they expect?

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

A medal. How many Tuvixen did they have?

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ah I would've thought the plural was Tuvices, but I like Tuvixen better!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Ooo, I like Tuvices too

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

At least tree fiddy

[–] MDCCCLV@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

The Borg file a complaint with the galactic commissioner.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Kira fucking loved coaching the Cardassians and storming the citadel with Damar

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Damar: How do we combat the Dominion

Kira: I'll gladly explain, step by step, how we kicked your lizard-ass off our planet

[–] InfinityOfThought@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

Kira: anyone of you little shits wants to see my Cardassian neck bones collection?

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (3 children)

And that's why Ensign Ro never got promoted...

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

That's okay, she got to be an Admiral in another universe!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Can you imagine if Ro and Kim had a baby? It'd never be promoted past cadet

"Sometimes war requires you to terrorise the terrorists" Captain Sisko, probably.

[–] Sunsofold@lemmings.world 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Janeway: "Now listen here, you little shit.."

[–] 790@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 month ago

Janeway: "half of my crew can be terrorists"

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

So, like, in that episode where there’s some assholes showing up to pyroform that planet with the “illegal” colonists…. And Data uses that hand phaser to nuke an aqueduct.

[–] autonomous@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 month ago

Sisko: As long as you terrorize while wearing your uniform, it's okay!

[–] rekabis@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Counterpoint to Sisko: Javier, the Marquis sympathizer. Sisko went after Javier like he had killed half of all DS9.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (2 children)
[–] autonomous@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 month ago

But he was a damned hero king in Krull!

[–] autonomous@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Isn't that the kind of thing poisoning the atmosphere of several planets would be called?

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

That sounds like the kind of thing Maquis scum would say

[–] Sertou@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Eddington was Valjean to Sisko's Javier, not Javier himself.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 3 points 1 month ago

Which is exactly what Eddington wanted!
