ddg is just bing with privacy features but still cozy with microsoft and allows some of their trackers.

Bing itself, does not need introducing as not being a good alternative.

Startpage is to google what ddg is to bing.

Searxng.. being open source so you can check yourself if it doesn’t have trackers might be an improvement but if you are not self hosting it can you trust who is not to run custom snoopers? And if you do self host it… its still obtaining results from google and bing your as anonymous as the server ip.

I guessed that this was going to be an autism/adhd story from the title alone.

I am not in the best of minds myself at the moment but from one “gifted-child” autist to another may this perspective be useful.

The concept of Intelligence can establish itself in a near infinite different ways. There is mathematical intelligence, emotional intelligence, motor-processing intelligence. Logical, social, pattern-detecting… introspective intelligence, there are more ways someone can be intelligent then we humans are aware off.

All humans have areas where they are intelligent and areas where they are not. The crux is you can be intelligent in some areas but be completely unaware of it because you don’t have the intelligence to recognize that that part if you counts as intelligence.

Many people with high emotional intelligence are like this. They take the socially accepted definition of intelligence (ability to get good school grades) and don’t have to insight to realize thats a pure societal bias.

Adhd puts you in a similar boat, it gives you some smarts that people recognize as a good tell that you would be good at getting grades. So you are called gited. Then actually inside the school system you get confronted with the fact you lack other common things that are equally if not more important to be successful in schools. It doesn’t matter how much Insight you have in a task if you can’t focus on it long enough to complete it.

Autism can give you introspective insight in your own intelligence, aided by the fact that we struggle to understand the social world around us we often have to discover or own ways and solutions to deal with (sometimes unique) challenges.

This means that you understand how your intelligence works and you may often have think about it how you can put it to good use, compare this to others who may be equally intelligent at things but don’t have to think about it. They just know they are successful at something and the smart part of their brain does the rest.

Your know better then anyone how flawed your thinking is, how many tricks your mind uses to accomplish things. Believing this means you are stupid is a falacy, its its own sign of intelligence.

If you have accomplished as much as you said you did you are obviously intelligent and successful. You are not underachieving when its just your strengths being capped by your weaknesses because all of us have both. The weakness of neurotypicals being more Typically accepted, those of neurodivergents Standing out and rarely being considered.

Time obviously has no finite dimensions, everyone who scientific educated themselves post failed formal education knows it.

Joke aside the Time cube interpretation is by far one of my favourite scientific theories. And besides dramatising i wasn’t actually joking in my first sentence.

Not sure about you but i didn’t get to choose what nationality and culture i was born in and if i really had the means to move somewhere better i would have long ago.

Also the people i hang out with aren’t sexist jerks that make parenting a gender thing but there all kinds of people around and i doubt there is a place without jerks.
