650k

Difference of 5 million

Obviously this is the left's fault!

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 124 points 5 days ago (19 children)

Had a lib (of course with an Israel flag in their handle) legitimately tell me that Leftists successfully convinced millions not to vote over on Lemmy.world yesterday.

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 80 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Damn, if we held so much power the dems should have done more to court our influence! Too bad they love genocide more than they want to win.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 68 points 5 days ago (4 children)

Literally what I told them, either Leftists didn't make a difference and Harris floundered on her own, or Leftists made a huge difference and Harris intentionally rejected them, failing.

we sneaky leftists tricked the democrat leadership into tacking to the right wing, thereby making it easy to disillusion and dissolve their bloc.

those smol bean millionaire consultants and party bosses walked right into our trap!

[–] edge@hexbear.net 36 points 5 days ago (1 children)

All for the well known leftist goal of getting a fascist elected.

[–] ThermonuclearEgg@hexbear.net 38 points 5 days ago

Haven't you heard of horseshoe theory? :smuglord:

[–] TheDoctor@hexbear.net 76 points 5 days ago (4 children)

Meanwhile we’re over here like, “PSL got over 100k!!!!”

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 69 points 5 days ago (1 children)
[–] TheDoctor@hexbear.net 56 points 5 days ago (2 children)

For sure, not trying to downplay it. Just funny how it’s off by an entire order of magnitude from what libs think we’re capable of at the moment.

[–] TomBombadil@hexbear.net 32 points 5 days ago

Did they??? Fuck in my state there where like a dozen write ins generally one of em mine for PSL. Oh knows what the others were.

That's sweeet

The ones that didn't vote are mostly disenfranchised life long Dems and Repubs, I fucking promise.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 32 points 5 days ago

I 100% agree, that's why the situation is ripe for radicalization.

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 36 points 5 days ago (1 children)

We have the power to convince people not to vote, but not to get them to vote for our candidate, apparently.

That shit really makes my blood boil. I work tirelessly at Langley to prevent that exact thing from happening! If a leftist is posting too good then I report them to get injected with cringe takes and nanobots. You think I'm just twiddling my thumbs if someone starts rocking the boat??? Sincerely, fuck you!

I have a bunch of coworkers who love using .world too! They sort of look at me funny because I have to monitor "that website where the pig shits itself." But .world and Langley are literally on the same side so it's extra hurtful when they belittle my job like that. It feels like a betrayal, honestly...

Very encouraging to hear that there's 16,000,000 marxist leninists in America

[–] Hexboare@hexbear.net 30 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

Leftists successfully convinced millions not to vote

and I'll do it again

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 37 points 5 days ago

Real "the enemy is both strong and weak" shit from libs these days i-am-adolf-hitler

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 28 points 5 days ago (1 children)

And if our demands aren't met, we'll fucken do it again

Australian news just blamed Latin Americans for Trump's win.

Lmao you can't make this shit up. Doesn't take much to get crackers doing racist shit.

[–] Moss@hexbear.net 56 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Everything I hear about Australia makes it seem like they're desperately trying to let everyone know how reprehensible the ruling class there is

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 46 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Like

It's funny because they keep lumping Latine people into this big ball like they don't grasp that Latin America isn't a monolith

A Columbian isn't the same as an Argentinian isn't the same as a Dominican

The social stratum of these countries is just a complex and varied as any other nation

But nope, "y'all speak Spanish, so y'all the same"

If all these 'leftists' could just shutup about the ongoing genocide, then Harris might have won. Dick Cheney is better than these jokers.

[–] intoner@lemm.ee 47 points 5 days ago (2 children)

If Harris gave a shit about the American people and put her money where her mouth is, she would have won. The Democrats are feeble and weak, and now they're paying the price for it.

[–] kkitsuragisleftnut@hexbear.net 32 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Weak and feeble? Or actively aiding and abetting fascism? At some point the American electorate has to admit to themselves the Democrats are complicit.

Dems can get the entire party to coalesce around a unified message overnight and kill a campaign in a week.

As long as its a progressive.

It's just a matter of their priorities.

They could have wiped the floor with Trump but that would have required them to advocate for progressive policies and they'd rather lose while having brunch with the Cheyneys and Branston of the world.

Just let the expendables in the periphery get exterminated I need 7 dollar iced coffee

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 95 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Hey is it a democracy if I am forced to vote for a party I don't like?

Just checking.

[–] What_Religion_R_They@hexbear.net 65 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The more you don't like it, the more democratic it is. If no one at all likes it, then that's democracy.

Democracy is a ritual, it has nothing to do with you having power within your government clueless

Quick guys what's 69 million plus 650k?? It's more than 74 million right???

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 19 points 5 days ago
[–] halykthered@lemmy.ml 50 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Lots of hardcore republicans where I'm at, and they're saying Trump's lead this time is proof that the last election was stolen. I wouldn't be surpeised if there was widespread voter fraud on the right, but I doubt it would be to the tune of millions to explain the gulf we witnessed.

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 55 points 5 days ago (2 children)

The election was stolen when Trump was in office, but the dems were incapable of rigging it when they're the ones in power?

[–] QuillcrestFalconer@hexbear.net 41 points 5 days ago

Honestly believable, given how incompetent democrats are

[–] Edie@hexbear.net 29 points 5 days ago

When in office, the dems have no power, they cannot pass any laws, cannot appoint any judges, nothing. When not in office, they are god.

[–] landlords_morghulis@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Hello, I'm not USian, but I would still like to take credit for making your libs heads explode. Who should I speak to?

Was there even a single swing state where third party voters made up the difference between Kamala and Trump??

I know y'all just love punching left. that's what got us into this mess. I guess there's no use in learning from it now seeing as you'll never really get to vote in an election again.

[–] Gay_Tomato@hexbear.net 61 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Op agrees with you. I don't blame you not realizing this is hexbear considering what you've probbably seen on ml.

[–] StinkySocialist@lemmy.ml 44 points 5 days ago (14 children)

Thanks for letting me know stranger. Seeing all these dumb takes on the other parts of Lemmy is just grinding me.

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 26 points 5 days ago

That's what the meme is showing. There was no instance where 3rd party voting took away from either main party candidate.
