Five men.

Six words.

Two mistakes.

This summer, they are:

Scared & Stupid (rated R)

[–] austinfloyd@ttrpg.network 22 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Looks like five mistakes to me. And two spelling errors.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Mistakes were made.

But this summer a champion will come...

And fix their errors - forever.

Scared & Stupid 2: Rise of l'Otter

[–] acockworkorange@mander.xyz 1 points 2 months ago

Is that the flag of Puerto Rico?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 56 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Impressive, to be able to have a spelling and a grammar mistake in that sentence.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Don't forget the crimes against fashion.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Nothing is less threatening then a man in shorts.

You’re not actually sorry.

[–] atro_city@fedia.io 3 points 2 months ago

Somebody's going to make a horror movie based just off of this comment.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Fun fact, this is like one of the only ways you can permanently lose mail delivery... although it's admittedly rare. I think the carrier has to start the complaint.

[–] maccentric@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Another way is to live in Summit County CO, where the USPS just doesn’t have to deliver the mail for whatever reason

Unfortunately only a couple of neighborhoods are actually serviced, everyone else has to either get a box at the post office (limited availability) or pay $600/yr to get a box at the UPS store, as I do. Price to live in paradise I suppose.

The otters came slowly, then they came quickly and in great numbers. The one Australian on the human team fell to the ground in a fetal position and started having emu flashbacks.

[–] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How can you make those mistakes???

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 49 points 2 months ago

School bad, gun good

[–] norimee@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago

Aww, how proud they are, the little green shits. Bless their hearts.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh, LOOTERS! Took me a minute.

[–] norimee@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago (2 children)
[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Yeah. I'm starting to think the misspelling is not deliberate, but ironic - it's one thing to have guns and a written warning saying you will use them. It's another to loudly convey that you're this dumb and also have guns.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I at least knew what that part meant.

[–] user1234@lemmynsfw.com 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's grammatically bad even in French or Franglish. It should be Les otters.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

Or, singular, l'otter is not le afraid.

[–] Maggoty@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Something tells me these guys are more bark than bite. Either that or they're really really good at shooting and they're going to shoot the next person they see on their property before figuring out why they're there.

[–] atro_city@fedia.io 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Lotters? Is this some vernacular I'm unfamiliar with?

[–] MadBob@feddit.nl 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It says, in fact, LOπERS.

[–] atro_city@fedia.io 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] MadBob@feddit.nl 2 points 2 months ago

WILL BE SH∞T ON SIGHT

[–] abfarid@startrek.website 8 points 2 months ago (3 children)

They attempted to write "Loiters* will be shot* on sight".

[–] Typotyper@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 months ago

Or “Looters” Or “Lawyers” Or “Losers” Or maybe it really is “L’Otters”. Those radical left rascals causing mayhem and dissection in the workers.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Wouldn’t it be loiterers?

[–] hydrospanner@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

LotRers.

Fans of Lord of the Rings.

[–] abfarid@startrek.website 1 points 2 months ago

Yes, but we don't know if that's what they wanted to write. But in that case, maybe they also wanted to write "shoot" and not "shot", so yeah, fair point.

[–] nexguy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

And wouldn't it be shooted?

[–] stebo02@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] abfarid@startrek.website 2 points 2 months ago

That's what they tried to write, but to be lexically correct it should be "loiterers".

[–] abfarid@startrek.website 9 points 2 months ago

"Survivors will be shoot again".

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

It says "LO πers". So anyone who lowers pi to 3 for simplicity deserves to be shot.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

My fiancee instantly saw it as π also lol

[–] TheReturnOfPEB@reddthat.com 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

"human-river otter incident"

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

They are just wacky in khaki.

I'm now wondering if they have confused loitering (an ill defined concept, particularly to kill over) with looting
