(asking broadly) Is there another context for naming a ship "Laboon?" I can't find anything else other than One Piece and US ship. Very cringe for warships to be named after anime characters.
She is named for Father John Francis Laboon (1921–1988), a captain in the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy, who was awarded the Silver Star during World War II while serving on the submarine USS Peto.
It's named after a ww2 priest/submarine captain

What’s the damage though? Kinda the important part. I get that depleting the defense missiles in order to force withdrawal was the goal, but please please find a way to actually kill sailors.
According to this article the US is claiming no damage at all, that they shot down all of the missiles and drones and sank multiple surface vessels. In the past sometimes Houthi attacks have gone unconfirmed for weeks before the effected vessel limped into port with a big hole in it, though.
