I'm from Ukraine but Russian is my native language.

No, it isn't so. Doesn't even look like a very bad translation. Just no.

Why are you leaving us hanging? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

What would be a more accurate phrase?

[–] Lazycog@sopuli.xyz 118 points 3 days ago

┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ) I can't afford a new table dude

[–] Lembot_0004@discuss.online 45 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Nothing. There isn't any idiom for that.

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 32 points 3 days ago

You don’t a single idiom for “mind your own business”? Wild, but ok.

[–] nawa@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Well there is the "not your doggy business" (as in, you're the dog/bitch, and this is not your fucking business), but it's rarely used now and it's also not super special

[–] Gremour@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Or just "Not your business", when not being rude.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

That will teach them

[–] Bob_Robertson_IX@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Might I suggest: Tebya ne trakhnut, tak chto ne verti zadnitsey

[–] brrt@sh.itjust.works 21 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Do I need to flip another table and make @Lazycog@sopuli.xyz sad or are you gonna tell us what that would roughly translate to?

[–] Lazycog@sopuli.xyz 19 points 3 days ago
[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

According to Google Translate, "You can't get fucked, so don't shake your ass"

[–] brrt@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 days ago

Uh… theyarethesamepicture.jpg

Не твоё дело (literally translated to "not your business/deal")

[–] Naz@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

"Не лезь"

Means: Don't crawl / don't break into this / mind your own business

[–] Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 23 points 3 days ago (1 children)

French one is actually mostly correct, but the expression is not used that much

[–] claimsou@lemmy.world 30 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I use it very often. It might be a region thing. I am from the north.

[–] emmanuelw@jlai.lu 18 points 3 days ago (1 children)

[–] Magister@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

[–] xkbx@startrek.website 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

[–] Magister@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

[–] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago
