Free as in you have to create an Account and use their launcher. Both of which will probably send lots of data about you to them.

Not really. Practice means you’re doing something that isn’t the thing and get closer to doing the thing with every attempt. Say you want to do a handstand but you fall over, you didn’t do a handstand, you did a fallover.

I’d guess it’s just the alcohol in the whiskey and would work as well with any other alcoholic beverage with a similar or higher amount of alcohol. Or is there anything special about whiskey?

What I really want to know who rebooted Uwe Boll. I was fine with him not doing anything.

And there are even more layers to this. How much do you know and like the people you are interacting with? How comfortable are you in the setting/circumstances? How interesting are the activities/conversations?

Ah yes, sorry. I forgot that all kids, especially in the first grades who would accidentally call their teachers mum or dad, are totally rebellious. They’d probably also not even use AI because it’s made by the capitalist system that is trying to enslave them.

I don’t get this take. There are probably many parents who have Amazon speakers in their home and taught children to ask Alexa when they want to know something.

Assuming a capacity equivalent NAS might cost $1200

Either you already have drives and could use them in a new NAS or you would have to buy them regardless and shouldn’t include them in the NAS price.

I don’t think it necessarily is the reflective properties etc. but it has been shown that doing stuff in nature is beneficial to mental health. And since people likely usually spend less time in nature in winter, doing so would improve mood.

Yeh this will make it a tough choice for me. Have an OLED TV and playing something like Hades 2 in 4K120 would be really nice. Maybe a USBC hub/adapter could do the trick but that’s kinda weird and an extra cost. Definitely dampened my hype for it sadly.

Are there any well regarded brands in the EU that sell high quality short?

Love my Dickies shorts because I’ve found them to be well made and long lasting but am considering options if I can find equivalent products.

If yes, which word(s) and how does it manifest?

(I’ll leave mine as a comment)

I’m just looking for a simple 2D floor planner that is easy to use and has the ability to show measurements.

The two most recommended open source tools I’ve seen have shortcomings.

Sweet Home 3D:

  • Very 3D centric, which over complicates things.
  • Project was recently acquired/handed off to a company and the iOS version is published by “AI Photo Editor Lab SRL”

draw.io / diagrams.net:

  • Very finicky to set up and create floor plans
  • To display measurements one has to add measurement objects to every wall/object

Does anyone have other recommendations?

I’m looking for a way to keep an eye on open source software I’m using, especially if there are detrimental changes. Like for example when there’s an acquisition (Raivo Authenticator) or the project has not been updated in a long time (potentially posing a security risk).

But I don’t want to have to read about every project, just the ones I’m using.

Anyone got any ideas?

Does anyone know why there are no dedicated Authenticator apps made by for example Proton or Bitwarden?

I’m aware that they have TOTP baked into their password managers but you still need to have at least one separate solution to log into your vault.

Is there a Lemmy app for iPad that has split screen like Narwhal for Reddit had? Post list on the left, content/comments on the right side.
