If I don’t want to take the remote apart I guess covering the mic opening with tape would be the next best thing? (Apart from never connecting it to WiFi, which I’ve never done anyway.)

You should probably post links without the tracking part (starts at ?is=)

I know they asked for a link but even better would be just stating the name and a song/album title if there seem to be many artist with the same name.

Obsidian (Free but not OSS) and PKM. Might help you improve how you build your knowledge, or might just trap you in an endless hunt for the perfect system.

NixOS if you’re looking for an endboss kinda thing.

I don’t use either of them but yeh, I probably mixed them up. Thanks!

Are you sure it’s all messages? I thought WA group chats are not encrypted.

What’s going on with that drop in the wall by the sidewalk? Did they run out of material? Did they start from the right and realized it won’t line up with the neighbors Wallace raised it from that point onward? Someone make it make sense.

If you don’t care about the Lightroom replacement being open source you could check out the Davinci Resolve beta that was released recently. They added a photo mode with library management. It’s relatively barebones but it might be enough for you.

Thankfully we have you to explain it to us and provide a more fitting term.

Making fun of a strangers appearance while lecturing people on ethics. Ironic.

I‘ve checked a few of the resources I found here but I seem to be unable to wrap my head around this.

I want to play one specific game purchased from GoG on my Steam Deck. It only has a windows installer. I don’t need a fancy launcher (at the moment). The game has low hardware requirements so should run fine via emulation/proton…

What’s the easiest way to install and add this game to game mode?

Edit: clarification on the launcher. I don’t necessarily need one. If it is the easiest way to get it done I still would consider installing one.

Are there any well regarded brands in the EU that sell high quality short?

Love my Dickies shorts because I’ve found them to be well made and long lasting but am considering options if I can find equivalent products.

If yes, which word(s) and how does it manifest?

(I’ll leave mine as a comment)

I’m just looking for a simple 2D floor planner that is easy to use and has the ability to show measurements.

The two most recommended open source tools I’ve seen have shortcomings.

Sweet Home 3D:

  • Very 3D centric, which over complicates things.
  • Project was recently acquired/handed off to a company and the iOS version is published by “AI Photo Editor Lab SRL”

draw.io / diagrams.net:

  • Very finicky to set up and create floor plans
  • To display measurements one has to add measurement objects to every wall/object

Does anyone have other recommendations?

I’m looking for a way to keep an eye on open source software I’m using, especially if there are detrimental changes. Like for example when there’s an acquisition (Raivo Authenticator) or the project has not been updated in a long time (potentially posing a security risk).

But I don’t want to have to read about every project, just the ones I’m using.

Anyone got any ideas?

Does anyone know why there are no dedicated Authenticator apps made by for example Proton or Bitwarden?

I’m aware that they have TOTP baked into their password managers but you still need to have at least one separate solution to log into your vault.

Is there a Lemmy app for iPad that has split screen like Narwhal for Reddit had? Post list on the left, content/comments on the right side.
