Ok Hammerfell confirmed, Sentinel is the capital city
Not sure how much hope I have after Starfield and Fallout 4 though. Not a fan of all the simplification and removal of RPG elements Bethesda has been doing for a while now
Tabletop, DnD, board games, and minecraft. Also Animal Crossing.

The only Bethesda games I'm interested in playing are Skywind and Skyblivion tbh
imagine if they took a risk and brought back all of the old mechanics expanded rather than simplified
Yea I don't know if I'll even bother to pirate it lol fallout 4 already barely held my attention and I still haven't learned anything about Star field before that it sucks
for those who don't want to watch it:
developer logos followed by a close up on a bunch of sand that blows away to partially reveal an elder scroll
then there is a black screen with the title, then a vague quote from a moth priest
that is the entire trailer
i am 100% serious

I have hundreds of hours on Oblivion and Skyrim, I have never actually interacted with an Elder Scroll
Oh wait I did do that mission of the moth temple in Oblivion, it's about stealing one of those right?
Believe it or not there are actually three different elder scrolls you can interact with over the course of Skyrim and its dlcs

I'm against industry crunch but this is silly.
They're still waiting for Michael Kirkbride to emerge from his K-hole
Kirkbride has just been working on perfectly normal games ever since Morrowind. Mostly he was just writing for Telltale games like walking dead ect. It's kind of bizarre how relatively mundane his other work has been compared to his Elder Scrolls stuff.
i'm going to need some gameplay, Todd
It's gonna play like an Elder Scrolls game
Morrowind 2 in 2028? neat
there are at least 7 things that could mean
Another port and/or remaster of Skyrim, you got it
Starfield with swords. Potentially curved swords.
probably less loading than starfield. some guy on youtube is most of the way to modding a seamless skyrim so they should be able to do it officially in a new game, right?
3+ years away and it will suck, AAA ARPG genre dead for 50 years. eat my hat if im wrong
They should make it a retro style 2D platformer
They should just make it another rerelase of Skyrim, but they should pretend it's a new game right up until the first loading screen is done.
Keep the wool over their eyes until "so....you're finally awake"
If they made it a shameless cash grab metroidvania rogue lite souls-like it would be so funny
Jokes on them, I love that slop
Any news on the release date or is it just another "don't forget about the Elder Scrolls" trailer without any substance?
Their last "announcement" trailer was like 8 years ago with 0 news since. In comparison 8 years after Skyrim was announced it had already been re-released like 5 times
Shit what happened to announcing a game when you actually had something to announce? They told people they were releasing Skyrim less than a year before they actually released it
And the crowd goes mild.
Judging by the progression of in game books from full size novelettes in Daggerfall, to short stories in Morrowind (The best ones, there is a reason half of the books in the next two games were just these ones), to 10 pages max in oblivion, to tiny pamphlets in Skyrim, I am predicting that all lore books in this game will be single sentences.
Can't wait to see how they manage to turn all that interesting lore and worldbuilding into the most generic ass racist fantasy setting in the desert.
You're forgetting the possibility of having LLMs write the lore books
Lol. Lmao even. The books will definitely just be decorative and a few of them that are quest related will be readable as a single page summary thats like "The 1000 year old secret crypt is 200 feet from the biggest city in the game, and yes, nobody has found it. Despite its location being in this book."
The Fallout Starfield - Skyrim edition but AI vibecoded because that's what the fans want
You are a AAAA game developer. Implement a new elder scroll. Make no mistake.
I’m not falling for it the writing is gonna be trash and it’ll barely be an rpg
Yeah, good. Ok.
No info but I'm playing the shit out of this garbage, now back to morrowind
I think Todd Howard got scared when Microsoft was closing studios and gave Halo to Activision, so he's actually getting things done now.
Todd Bethesda personally scrambling to write some code since he makes all these games single-handedly.
Booooo. Hiiissssss. That means fewer resources towards Fallout 5
Hey here’s some hope for you: Obsidian doesn’t need resources. They made New Vegas with like no time and Bethesda’s shitty engine. Whatever they’re cooking up right now will be better than 5 and out way sooner I bet.
Obsidian is working on a new fallout entry!

With Bethesda Game Studios now managing Obsidian

Fucking god dammit.
how many new Fromsoft games will be out before this releases? I'm guessing at least 10 but maybe even 20
Scrollder olds mouldyrim 3
Gotta love trailers that show zero parts of the game they're meant to advertise.
For anyone looking to scratch the itch, Queen's Domain launched this week and is like king's field, Metroid prime, dark souls, elder scrolls, all in one. It's fantastic
Yeah, don't want to play into the speculation and hype, but the sand dunes does kind of give credence to earlier leaks that it is going to be set in Hammerfell.
Sentinel is a city on the northern coast of Hammerfell on the Illiac Bay. It's not speculation.
oh shit the hogs are gonna be mad there are black people
The Elder Scrolls VI: Elsweyr
my nursing home will go nuts for this when it comes out
Finally, I was beginning to think they'd never port Skyrim to the Nokia N-Gage.
