Judging by the progression of in game books from full size novelettes in Daggerfall, to short stories in Morrowind (The best ones, there is a reason half of the books in the next two games were just these ones), to 10 pages max in oblivion, to tiny pamphlets in Skyrim, I am predicting that all lore books in this game will be single sentences.
Can't wait to see how they manage to turn all that interesting lore and worldbuilding into the most generic ass racist fantasy setting in the desert.
You're forgetting the possibility of having LLMs write the lore books
might do a better job than what's his ass (not todd)
Lol. Lmao even. The books will definitely just be decorative and a few of them that are quest related will be readable as a single page summary thats like "The 1000 year old secret crypt is 200 feet from the biggest city in the game, and yes, nobody has found it. Despite its location being in this book."
