I've sometimes thought about asking the folks who run the blorptube if April 12 (Yuri's Night) could be annually set aside for White Sun of the Desert and maybe some quality space exploration movies or documentaries.
Gagarin himself never lived to see that movie, but it's a longstanding tradition for everyone launching in a Soyuz from Baikonur to watch it together the night before a launch. Plus it's really funny.

My favorite hobby since I was a kid is model rocketry. One of my favorite rockets is the Estes Der Red Max - my namesake. My PFP is one of the decals from the rocket.
My favorite thing about the design is that it’s kinda goofy racist against Germans and the color scheme is red black so it just fits perfectly for this place.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence do amazing outreach and support to the LGBTQ community. They have structure and go around in Catholic Nun drag. They were in the Pride Month news cycle at the time because they were invited, disinvited due to Catholic outrage, then reinvited to be honored at 2023 Dogers pride night.
As for toons I found it to be a really good representation of a Sister. This is the banner on The Sister's website.

I picked this manga up because it was a "Grim BL with beautiful art" & it absolutely is as devistating as it is beautiful. I just happened to relate to Richard the III, because in this story a lot of his experiences mirror that of trans masculinity. The story felt cathartic to me.
Geo Stelar! Three years ago, I started playing Mega Man Star Force after I had hit rock bottom and the first game ended up reflecting my soul to such an extent that I felt fully understood for the first time in my life, and it gave me hope again that I can still do more with my life. Main character Geo felt just like me
: his fears of investing in a person you may lose in whatever way, and wanting to help but feeling too weak for it resonated with me and his character growth inspires me to this day.

Venus McFlytrap from Monster High burning down a datacentre. I thought it was funny because in Monster High lore Venus is an environmentalist who feeds off of freshwater and sunlight, and as such hates it when people pollute the earth as they’re basically fucking with her food source.
It's from an old DOS/Amiga game called Weird Dreams. It's the face the player character makes when he gets hit. It was so goofy and unexpected that I instantly fell in love with it.

Olms are blind salamanders that live in caves in the Balkans. In folklore they're believed to be the offspring of dragons, but they're actually related to the North American mudpuppies 
and look like noodle Axolotls without eyes. As for my profile picture I just picked one of the top results that comes up when you google "Olm Salamander"

Still frame of the red flag being raised at the end of Battleship Potemkin. It's a personal favourite film of mine and I have four physical editions of it I've picked up over the years (VHS, DVD, free DVD in card slipcase the Guardian did giveaways of years and years ago and a BluRay copy)
One of my favorite reaction images that has to do with Dragon Ball, I really wanted the Howard Zinn pun. I’m not too attached to it and have wanted to try a few different pfps. Probably a bad look for someone who’s been in a doomer loop for like a year now have a pfp featuring Zamasu.
