Someone told him Congress will approve crazy requests if he can make them sound like they're for the military. Which is true, but he's so demented at this point that he can't connect any of the other obvious dots.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It also circumvents local approvals if it’s for national security. He’s trying to make a loophole.

[–] TipRing@lemmy.world 84 points 1 week ago (2 children)

This is just to claim that building it is a national security matter to bypass laws intended to regulate the construction of vanity projects. It's just lies.

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And it works - scotus in their infinite stupidity decided they can't judge whether something is a national security issue or not.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 8 points 1 week ago

SCOTUS is not a legitimate judicial body anymore and needs to be dismantled. Conservatism destroys everything it touches.

True. Blatantly obvious and patently ridiculous lies at that. Hence the crossposting to !nottheonion@lemmy.world 😉

“Hallucinating madman continues to hallucinate”

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 31 points 1 week ago (3 children)

So if a coordinated group slowly shows up in a nearby public area, then quickly convene and take action, they could potentially overrun the facility and seize military grade weaponry, right near the white house?

Sounds like a great plan... Do it

[–] nieceandtows@programming.dev 23 points 1 week ago

Important point. A tourist attraction and a military complex don't go together.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 week ago

My thought was someone would wheel in a giant arch, say it's a gift for Trump, have him bring it into the main area of the White House, then people would jump out and overthrow the White House?

Call it the Arc de Troyomph?

[–] Dragomus@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

It's clearly meant as an aid for a new Jan 6, no other reason to want to put an arms cache in the reach of a public mob near the white house.

Millions of conservatives thought this was a good idea twice.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Millions of ~~conservatives~~ fascists/cult members thought this was a good idea twice.

Fixed that for you.

Not defending conservatives, mind you, just think it's important to be accurate about what these crazies are..

[–] borkborkbork@piefed.social 9 points 1 week ago

sorry, no, conservative america went all in on him, twice, that's the reason we're here.

the fact that they can't discern fascism from their garbage doesn't surprise, they've always been authoritarian loving bootlickers

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 4 points 1 week ago

Conservatives have always been on board with this shit. They just used to come up with semi-plausible explanations for it.

All that's happened is trump gave them permission to start saying the quiet parts out loud.

[–] Infrapink@thebrainbin.org 21 points 1 week ago

Because of course a wealthy, powerful democracy needs a base for drones and snipers inside the capital city which consciously resembles a monument to Roman imperialism.

Sounds like a primo place to store that class of battleships that he was promoting about nine months ago.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump-class_battleship

On 22 December 2025, U.S. president Donald Trump announced the Trump class, with two ships to be initially constructed of 10 planned, and eventual plans for "between 20 and 25" as part of a "Golden Fleet".

They could be stacked atop each other.

[–] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I wish my tax dollars saved and improved lives. I hate this country and the world.

[–] tal@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Oh, he's not actually going to get any battleships. Battleships have been obsolete since at least World War 2.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It doesn't matter, it's coming down as soon as he's out. Then we need to pass a Federal law that it is illegal to name anything after Trump, except for Sewage Treatment Plants. That way, whenever anyone passes one, they can say "Wow, the Trump is particularly stinky today, much worse than usual."

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In British slang apparently trump already is a "childs" term used for fart.

So in the U.S. some say they tooted, British kids might say they trumped

[–] TwodogsFighting 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Actually, in the UK, 'to trump' now means to fuck an entire country into the ground with no shame whatsoever.

We should probably update the dictionary.

[–] Texas_Hangover@lemmy.radio 6 points 1 week ago

UK is not exactly in the position to throw stones on that matter.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I bet someone told him it was a top secret place to store weapons, and he was like "got it" and tweeted immediately about the "top grade" place.

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 7 points 1 week ago

So just like most of the things he’s built, it’ll self implode, collapse shortly after he’s siphoned off as much of the funds as he can.

[–] pamparana@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

What a moron!

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 6 points 1 week ago

Conservative evil is matched only by their stupidity.

[–] PodPerson@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 week ago

It’s nice to save our adversaries time and effort when they eventually have had enough and need to shut us down. Now they will know where to bomb.

[–] cloudshouter@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 week ago

Knowing the Wehraboos that hang around him, this was possibly inspired by the Berlin flak towers.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 4 points 1 week ago

Maybe the horse men will ride their horses in the hole to get their tools and swords outpf the hole.

Or you know, the Chinese drones after a long drone flight might feel perky and take some loops around it. Great use of my tax money. How about also digging very deep holes out in the desert, just to see what's in there?

[–] PostProcess@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

We going Tracey Island on this shit now? Like a bond movie the top opens up so a rocket can come out!? What's this guy on,

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Getting ready for the rebellion.
