I just scroll my phone while cycling on a busy road.
I just scroll my phone while driving my Ford truck like a real American
It fucking sucks, it's just very easy.
Ain't nobody got time for that
you're correct but to make this slightly less doom and gloom it's 150 minutes for moderate cardio, which includes like walking at not a snails pace or just using your bicycle to get somewhere. 75 minutes a week for intense cardio, like a run.
The strength training is a a lot less lenient going by WHO definitions but it does at least include things like digging a hole in your garden or something.
Back when I worked a consistent 4 on 3 off schedule I managed to hit the gym at least twice a week pretty regularly. Now I work an inconsistent 5 days a week and I haven't been to the gym in a few months, I need to get back in the habit.
I really fucking struggle with this. I'm getting older and now I work from home. I've never been one for exercise, and it's so hard to do it for its own sake. I'm starting to develop some health problems, but just going for a short walk every couple hours is a difficult habit to force on myself.
I had really good luck with doing at least something every day to help build a habit. EVERY day, I put on my shoes, and go for a walk. It doesn't matter if I walk for literally 2 minutes, I consider it a success.
I tell myself "Yes, you don't wanna walk, but you can do 2 minutes". Normally, by the time I get walking for 2 minutes, I think "OK, I can do a 15 minute walk since I'm already here". It worked to trick myself into building an "exercise habit".
I've also had good luck listening to podcasts when I walk. Keeps me from being bored.
I have one of those fake jobs so I go to the gym during work hours
