Pastafarianism probably has the highest ratio of silly hat wearers per adherent, but only a few varieties to my knowledge (colanders and pirate hats/bandanas).

It’s a like $3000 hat. They wear them every Saturday evening as they walk around. From what I understand it’s like a bit of a keeping up with the joneses based on how big and fancy and expensive your Saturday hat is.

No one is controlling Donald Trump. No one is forcing him to do things. Donald Trump is bombing Iran because he wants to feel powerful, not because he is being manipulated by a shadowy figure behind the scenes (also an anti-semitic trope).
