Lover, You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley

Following that up with finding out about how he died was pretty heartbreaking. Dude was a legend.

I love almost all of his music. I'll often just put his entire discog on shuffle.

Came across ELYVO randomly and have thoroughly enjoyed each of the 3 tracks thus far. Looking forward to more at some point.

Inkpot Gods by The Amazing Devil (One of the vocalists is Joey Batey, who played Jaskier in the Witcher show and is IRL a really good musician)

"Oh, Marie" by Louis Prima. I was surprised at how much an old song can rock!

If you haven't heard them, check out the Everly Brothers Love Hurts or the Four Seasons Beggin'. Many people only know the remakes. The originals are so good!

[โ€“] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 months ago

I first heard "Love Hurts" by Nazareth, then later on in years by Roy Orbison. I'll check out the Everly Brothers version.

It is a german song to rile up oldfolk that feels threaten by the young. It just really hit home as my father is a big sceptic of renewable energy and repeats again and again that we will see how this will ruin the economy. I am just exhausted

I'm not gonna lie, there's a lot of music I've found recently that I've been listening to on repeat. Something that I like in music, is when the songs either don't stick to one genre or there is some form of a stark contrast. As per the title, I'll stick to one example, which isn't the best example but it's what I'm listening to right now:

I Bet You'll Forget That Even If You Noticed That (I Was Still There) by Foreground Eclipse

The Spectre ~~^of^~~ ~~^communism^~~ by Alan Walker. Instrumental version.

Probably my favourite bass drop from Alan.

[โ€“] spittingimage@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Wire by Worthikids.

I'll be honest - I don't know if it's a good song. I just know that self-animated music video changed my life.

I usually play several times a song when I like it. I've been listening to Dindi lately. Its splendid

"Wenn sie tanzt" by Max Giesinger

Seems a lotta website have robot translations of the lyrics, but this is a good one.

TLDR: When she dances, she goes somewhere else and becomes someone else.

I don't play songs on repeat that I love, I play songs on repeat that are stuck in my head and that I have come to hate.

I mean I basically won't ever click on a YouTube link as is, but after that comment there's no way I'm going to click on the link you sent me.
