"It's worth the cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths [...] so that we can have the Second Amendment" - Charlie Kirk, 2023

That's why I say 'hey man, nice shot.'

Zombie kill of the week.

JD Vance is Vice President of The United States and somehow he is still a loser. Like not a bad person, of course JD is an awful, hateful human... I mean JD Vance genuinely firehoses out loser vibes everywhere he goes despite on paper being an immensely powerful boy (one of the most powerful boys!).

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He’s so bland and draining that the pope died hours after a Vance Exposure Event.

I hypothesize that if the entire nation is subjected to a VEE, we could face devastating losses.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

the pope died hours after a Vance Exposure Event.

Yet, somehow, Trump hasn't succumbed (yet) to extended exposure to Vance.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If he takes over he’s going to have a hard time. People won’t follow him blindly like they do for trump. He’s going to try to be tough but it will be so cringy that he won’t get the support he needs to back it up.

[–] Damage@feddit.it 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Who knows, I still can't understand how people can take Trump seriously, let alone form a cult following.

[–] IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

People like trump because he lies in such a playful way. It softens it enough that most of his followers let it slide and the rest are outright fooled by it. Vance does not have this quality. His lies come across as hateful and intentional. People aren’t left feeling good afterwards like when trump lies to them.

...for everything else, there's MasterCard.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

But not for "erotica featuring animal related topics", so since you bought that catgirl hentai game on Steam, your cards are revoked for "financially supporting the sexual exploitation of animals".

[–] Cevilia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

How did you know I bought catgirl hentai games on Steam?

[–] Amir@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

You're on Lemmy

[–] Capricorn_Geriatric@lemmy.world 44 points 1 day ago (1 children)

... Good thing I use MasterCard

So Charlie Kirk, J. D. Vance, and Donald Trump walk into a gas champer and get raped...

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 39 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Plot twist, no-one else was in the chamber. They did it to each other.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 day ago

I'm kinda impressed they managed a triangle of non consent.

[–] Chozo@fedia.io 56 points 1 day ago

I love stories with happy endings!

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"Knock knock."
"Who's there?"
"Not Charlie Kirk any more."

[–] Opisek@piefed.blahaj.zone 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's it, the freedom committee decided you're not bald eagle enough and are no longer welcome in the land of cholesterol.

My mom just read me a text message she got from her half-sister who is in stage 4 renal failure (or something imminently fatal like that, although I've been hearing this for about 10 years now). I was feeling sorry for her until my mom got to the point where she said she was "looking forward to meeting Jesus and Charlie Kirk".

[–] SalamenceFury@lemmy.world 53 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

I would just reply with "Bitch, you're going to hell, you're only meeting Charlie Kirk there."

[–] state_electrician@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

And Maggie Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. So many conservative herpes!

Edit: I meant to type heroes, but this works too.

[–] SalamenceFury@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

I swear, if Hell could be livestreamed on Twitch I bet it would have 500k+ views every day just from people watching Thatcher, Nixon and Reagan burning in there.

[–] frog_brawler@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago

"you can meet one, or the other, but not both."

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Adults with the mental disorder called religion need treatment, preferably medicated to the nostrils.

[–] Zorcron@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Ignoring your actual point, something like end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis has a life expectancy of around 5 years, but even 10+ years on dialysis is not unheard of.

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

FWIW she has refused dialysis.

If she quit, it must've been recent. She won't last more than a couple weeks on average.

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

As I said when I got a text saying "don't send A g money to your dad": "It won't be long now. Everything evolving him will be over shortly."

Everyone in his generation was a little miffed. Everyone in my generation was all "yup."

You've always been allowed to threaten the designated groups but not allow to threaten the rulers power.

But if you quote Ace Frehley you'll get a HELL YEAH

[–] Lyra_Lycan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 1 day ago (16 children)

Soo, are "watermelon people" people who really like watermelon, black Americans, or Oompa Loompas because their skin is kinda like the flesh and the hair is the rind? Or fat folk who wear stripey green onesies

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 27 points 1 day ago

I thought it was Palestinians, but now that I think about it there's no way your average American racist can make that connection.
