He's one of those candidates that run as Democrat then switch after being elected.

Never trust folk from York County.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

I don't trust anyone with a name like "John."

Alex Jones just had a caller that was asking how to get his undocumented wife on the list of the “good ones.”

Fetterman is what Blue No Matter Who brought us.

[–] Alaik@lemmy.zip 40 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Pretty sure its his cognitive decline secondary to his stroke.

Your brain stops working and you become republican.

[–] aceshigh@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

It’s interesting that having a stroke decreases your empathy, and as a result you become r.

[–] tacosplease@lemmy.world 19 points 6 days ago (3 children)

So we should have let the Republican win?

How the fuck are we still this stupid?

It's the same dumb ass "Democrats aren't doing enough for Palestine, so I'm not voting for them" bullshit even after we've seen time and time again how that works out.

Take a look around at your actual options. Those are the choices. Not some mythical candid in your head. They have to be on the actual fucking ballot and not just in your dreams.

Also, Fuck Fetterman. He's a selfish, backstabbing piece of shit. This isn't about defending him. It was still the least shitty choice. That's where we are.

He run against a person that calls itself doctor Oz. Do you think that ghoul would be better in any way whatsoever?

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Fetterman votes with every Republican bill. What would be the difference except showing Democrats that these candidates are not deserving of winning?

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 6 points 6 days ago

He's unfortunately not. Just a liar and a prick in a time where we are easily fooled because of our few good options.

It says the wife "WAS" undocumented. I don't care enough to look up what happened there.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 47 points 6 days ago

She spent 15 years here illegally after overstaying a visa. As a side note, 40% of people here illegally overstayed visas and did not cross a border by illegal means.

Yeah, but it's not his problem until it affects him or his family.

[–] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago (4 children)

I thought if you married someone they get a green card?

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 17 points 6 days ago

At this point, I don't think having a green card matters anymore.

[–] beveradb@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It takes years even if you're legal. If you've committed any kind of crime, including working or being here illegally without a visa, you'll get denied

[–] BananaIsABerry@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago

From my personal experience, working is not necessarily an issue. As our lawyer put it, "everyone works, so don't stress about that". The things they seemed mostly concerned about were whether or not you entered the country legally, if you've overstayed your visa for reasons that would exclude you, and issues with the law.

Some methods of entering the country are harder than others when it comes to the approval process, such as tourist visas.

[–] SolOrion@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago

That's one path to it, but it's not nearly that simple.

[–] Nalivai@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sometimes the process takes years. Sometimes decades.

Took my ex something like 5 years and it was a pain in the aaaasssss.

For a moment I thought this was ProgrammingHumour and a funny response to calling someone's code undocumented.

Then I read the full post.
