My bet, they roll back Presidential term limits, Obama returns and vanquishes Trump, then Obama implements or reimplements many fascist programs with vaguely social dem-y sounding language to prepare for an ultimately futile war with China.

Unless he vanquishes Trump in single combat, it won't hapoen because the Republicans will have entirely captured the voting system
There aren't gonna be presidential elections in 2028, I'm calling it now.
He will say that the elections are too expensive and that he will save 100 billion dollars of taxpayer money by not having elections. Instead of the elections, he will make a poll on Truth Social where 100% of users will choose him over Gruesome Newsome. NYT will run a headline about how great and cost-effective this is. Libs will post epic clapbacks on twitter.
However, the USA is a Travis Bickle factory so there is still hope that we will see a very funny headline by that time

I think the chance of the dems taking the House next year is zero. If I'm right - in red states the GOP will use any and all methods skew the results of federal elections including openly breaking the law. Why wouldn't they? They aren't going to be charged in state court and they certainly aren't going to be charged in federal court by Trump's DOJ. And - of course - Trump's FBI won't investigate any GOP criminality of any kind.
