The dude who draws the guy with a tie pointed upwards? That's literally all I know regarding him. I see a ton of people happy that he's dead but absolutely no idea why. Even the couple of links here don't shed any light on the details of 'why'.
To sum it up, he was. Racist, sexist, xenophobic, hateful, a liar, manipulator, and apologist for some of the worse people of the last few decades
Dude was an absolute piece of shit.
Furthermore he was utterly obsessed with his own supposed genius.
I feel bad now for liking that step about the device with the single button.
He went on an unhinged racist rant about Black Lives Matter in 2023, ending with something along the lines of "white people get as far away from black people as possible." More details on his Wiki page but that's the high level.

untrue. he spread and normalized hate speech and misinformation. he damaged lives with his platform and negligence. I would even go as far to say his anti-vaccine rhetoric killed at least one person, probably more.

Agreed. That's why I put "scare quotes" around the word "do" to imply that he actually did do something. I wasn't defending them I was responding specifically to the comment above.
The why is simply that an entertainer disrespecting the fans that supported their success is a recipe for failure.
