Like someone said in the other thread you linked and I posted in, I guess the silver-lining is that most people oppose this shit. Now, with that out of the way, a lot of people opposed Iraq and Afghanistan and that went nowhere.

don't gaslight yourself. invading iraq was mid 70s% approval, higher than I saw for western polls of russians at the beginning of the SMO.

public opinion has zero influence on foreign policy and pretty much never has

invading iraq was mid 70s% approval

Once the invasion was underway, IIRC that number peaked above 90% - clearly many of the people "opposed" to it did not actually have strong objections, too. IMO there was a small minority of Americans who ever truly opposed that war.

Domestic policy, too.

most people oppose this shit

When I stay in the right (errr, left and not lib) bubbles, yes, but when I venture outside of them, I start to doom spiral over the number of takes that are at best opposing it on procedural grounds, if not (manufacturing) support.

I’m certainly hopeful that the large amount of procedural opposition will be “enough” but it’s still disheartening.

This. People are eating up the corpo media broadcasting the celebration of gusano Venezuelans in Florida, Chile, Argentina, and Europe. My expectations for the westoids were low but holy fuck! They truly have goldfish memories.

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago

The fucking gusanos brought this about. This is the coming of age of the Gusano dynasty, the Revenge of the Gusano.

A third opposes, a third supports, and a third is unsure. Source.
