Not a movie character, but when I was a teenager the answer was 100% Willow Rosenberg.

Can't really think of anyone as an adult.

[–] Carighan@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

Yep, same here. Willow was my big TV crush back then. She even won against Dana Scully.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 5 points 5 months ago

Wow...I'm not sure anyone could beat Dana Scully in my book.

Charisma Carpenter could come close though!

Jane (Krysten Ritter) from Breaking Bad. Because... just look at her.

[–] craig9@lemm.ee 8 points 5 months ago

Also played: Jessica Jones (my vote!)

[–] Trollivier@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 months ago

I agree, Jane is a good one.

[–] Ifera@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Chloe, from "Don't trust the bitch in apartment 23", same actress. She makes me extra Bi.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 25 points 5 months ago

Joi. Blade Runner 2049. I'd plug her in.

[–] essell@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago

Dexter Morgan.

Just imagine the hugs and him murdering anyone who hurts me.

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Allison from The Breakfast Club. I can fix her.

She was perfect the way she was. I hate that she let Claire give her a makeover.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 17 points 5 months ago (1 children)

TV, not a movie, but Spike from BTVS. I mean, come on!

So... You're not staying then?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 15 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Marla Singer.

I’d give her an abortion.

[–] mozz@mbin.grits.dev 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Bro over here busting out the director's commentary

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That was the line from the book, but they changed it to β€˜I haven’t been fucked like that since grade school’ to make it less controversial.

[–] mozz@mbin.grits.dev 16 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (2 children)

So that's not the full story about the movie... from memory but the best that I remember it, they originally shot the line from the book. The studio came back with some notes, among them being hey that thing with the abortion is pretty over the top. So, they shot the line that made it into the movie instead, and the studio lost their damn minds and said that is way worse, please change it back to the abortion one at least, but they stuck to their guns and said nope, you wanted it changed so we changed it, we're doin this one now. And, apparently, they won, because that's what's in the movie, even though it is objectively quite a bit worse.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's still not the full story. The full story is that Helena Bonham Carter is English and didn't know what grades "grade school" referred to in the US, so she didn't realize just how beyond the pale the line she was saying actually was until afterwards.

[–] mozz@mbin.grits.dev 8 points 5 months ago

Which meant she was perfectly blasΓ© about it while she was saying it

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

Yes, always found that funny.

[–] mozz@mbin.grits.dev 4 points 5 months ago

Hahaha

Well played to the man. Yeah, I was confused even while typing out the story how he had managed to make the new one stick. That makes it make sense.

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee 15 points 5 months ago (3 children)

I’m more in love with the book version, but Bobbie Draper.

I simp for Bobbie Draper

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm all about show Drummer myself. But i am glad they made her a milf in the later books.

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee 5 points 5 months ago

Show Drummer was book Drummer and book Pa rolled into one.

[–] then_three_more@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Like a fucking Valkyrie.

[–] LouNeko@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm on the 4th book but finished the series. How does she have any red flags? Given what she's been through and her profession, she seems to be fairly well composed individual. Great friend and always kind to the people important to her. It's like dating a trucker, them not being around often and being somewhat detached comes with the territory of their profession.

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee 2 points 5 months ago

She only had red flags at first: she was a young woman trained and itching to kill for a while.

I would not marry Bobbie Draper to have her go out and do all the trucking on her own. We would definitely live in a ship together, or wherever she wanted.

[–] Ashtear@lemm.ee 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Lenore from the Castlevania Netflix series.

Tons of consent issues for sure, but she's gorgeous and smart as hell.

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Hooo boy, I get what you mean. Though I'd also love to be tossed around by Striga. And, on her good days, Carmilla.

[–] artichokecustard@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

not a movie, but charlie from iasip, he could fix me, i'd make him milk steak every night with extra jelly beans T-T i'd just have to kidnap him from the gang first -_-

[–] AquaTofana@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I have a huge crush on Charlie Day as well! I think I'd take him as Dr. Newt Geizsler from Pacific Rim tho. While I am usually like "Daw I love Charlie" in IASIP, there's something about him wearing winter underwear with socks that's an immediate turn off. πŸ˜‚

Cameron Diaz in Charlie's Angels

[–] Ifera@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Bob Belcher, from Bob's Burgers. Gods, what I would do FOR and TO that man.

[–] blackstrat@lemmy.fwgx.uk 7 points 5 months ago

Wednesday Addams from the Netflix show

[–] SauceBossSmokin@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago (3 children)
