There's a whole fandom around elevators I guess, the old sub used to riff on those guys.

Absolutely one of the most dangerous jobs, elevator mechanic/installer. I hesitate every time I step into one, having read many OSHA reports.
is it dangerous or just dangerous if you don't have one because I imagine most elevator mechanics aren't stepping onto unsafe elevators
Lived in an apartment that would set the fire alarm off every time it rained. Posted photos on their 
and within 30 minutes they were telling me what it is, why it's wrong, and how it could be fixed. Absolutely zero 
energy, genuinely helpful, unlike the legal advice people when I asked how to fight back about being evicted for pets I was told I could have.
