The bank says it had assumed there were economic red lines the Trump administration would be unwilling to cross.

BREAKING: Analysts perplexed by a fucking deluded unmoored idiot acting just like a fucking deluded unmoored idiot.

Ackshually if you took even one basic economics class you would know it's all based on this thing called "rational actors"

$0.60 jump in gas prices near me today

[–] Rey_McSriff@hexbear.net 39 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The beautiful thing about our economic system is that we can never run out of gas because it'll become too expensive to buy

[–] Athena5898@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

This is going to be very interesting to witness. I would expect some breakage already with an extra dollar for gas. But I still see the tanks people call vehicles driving around.

Which means my original conclusion that the size of vehicle on top of type is a indicator of class to some degree might be true. Give or take Lyft drivers and the likes of course.

Never have I been more vindicated in not owning a car. Sure everything else is more expensive too but at least I don't have to worry about filling my tank or waiting in fuel lines. Peddle power & electric trains for me all day please

[–] Athena5898@hexbear.net 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Me crying in no electric train 😭

If this bubble pops while diesel is exploding in price we very well could see the collapse of the US sooner than thought possible.

Probably seriously need to start planning accordingly so the US left isn't caught so embarassingly unprepared like with the BLM uprisings.

I've been stressing this with my local group. I wish I could be as active as I was a year or two ago but my new stage in disabilities is kicking my ass. (Something I'm refusing to think about how it's going to make make matters worse for our household)

Hilarious to watch The Adults in the Room start to realize that even the cartoon laws of physics, that have been keeping them afloat after having sprinted off of a cliff, still eventually enforces gravity surprised-pika-messed-up
