Image is of Ansarallah military spokesman Yahya Saree delivering a statement/speech.

The ceasefire appears to be at least temporarily over, with an exchange of fire between (what appears to be) predominantly Iran and the entity, though as always I expect we'll find increasing evidence of direct US involvement.

The chain of events was as follows, in spoilers below for those who haven't been keeping up:

chain of events summary

  1. A while ago, Iran warned the occupation entity that if they strike Beirut (with particular emphasis on its southern suburbs, which is an area where Hezbollah officials/structures are concentrated as I understand it) then they will directly strike the north of Occupied Palestine, turning the area into a military zone, and encouraged settlers to leave to avoid civilian casualties.

  2. This warning was grudging accepted by the entity, who ordinarily has a policy called the Daniyeh Doctrine, in which they murder civilians en masse by bombing apartment buildings and houses in enemy cities in order to pressure the military forces they are battling to give into conditions they ordinarily would not be obliged to accept, because the Zionist ground campaigns are usually fairly ineffective at achieving goals on medium to long timescales. While removing their ability to bomb Beirut didn't halt the Daniyeh Doctrine entirely (they could and did hit other places), their distinct inability to strike the capital when they ordinarily could do that freely was a big source of discontentment in both the civilian population and the military.

  3. As Hezbollah increasingly attrited the Zionist offensive forces, the attractiveness of bombing Beirut in retaliation increased regardless of the consequences, and of course the Zionists do still want to do anything they can to attack and weaken Iran directly and are much worse at hiding this than even the US. This resentment culminated on June 7th, where the Zionists conducted an airstrike on Beirut on a Hezbollah HQ.

  4. Iran immediately said that this constituted a break in the ceasefire, and Khamenei put Iran back on a full war footing. Within 6 hours of the strike on Beirut, Iranian missiles were flying towards the northern occupied territories, in what they regarded as merely a warning shot. Western media was obviously fairly dismissive of this; 182% interception rates and all that jazz, but we have several videos of missiles hitting targets.

  5. Trump publicly warned the Zionists to not respond, which many sensible people immediately diagnosed as kayfabe, and Iran obviously remained on guard against a counterattack. This came a few hours later from Zionist drones and stand-off strikes from aircraft likely in Iraqi airspace, just like in the initial phase of the war months ago. These hit sites in western and central Iran, including a petrochemical facility, but also with some interceptions.

  6. Iran then responded to this counterattack with a yet bigger warning shot into the occupied territories. Ansarallah also joined in with strikes on the Zionists, and they additionally announced that the Red Sea is now closed to all vessels linked directly to the entity. Certain accounts have said that the Bab el Mandab is now actually under full blockade, but this is not clearly substantiated as of me writing this at about 2pm BST, June 8th. There's been a lot of "considering closing" and "threatening to close" and "moving to close" the Red Sea over the ceasefire period that hasn't materialized, so I don't want to get out over my skis.

Worth noting that according to Yves over at Naked Capitalism (a fairly reliable and left-leaning, but not communist, website), we're now about a month or so away from reaching "tank bottom". This is largely because commercial demand destruction has not sufficiently occurred due to oil price market manipulations keeping it low, and also because there have been basically no government policies in the US like widespread work-from-home orders. So, soon the shortages will be of the literal oil molecules not being available and not just the price signal. So there's an increasing anxiety in the US to get this conflict over before the economy really starts to crash in the latter half of the year, one way or another. As a deal seems only increasingly unlikely given US stubborness and inability to accept battlefield realities, a return to military strikes as we've seen appears the only way forward, despite almost catastrophic munitions shortages.

The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Mask off. I guess they are going to be sending in the meat waves in the near future.

The conflict has gone fully regional overnight. US struck 20 sites across Iran. Iran responded with strikes on US military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.

Impact at US Navy base in Bahrain confirmed on footage. Kuwait sirens active.

Both sides significantly intensified their exchange of fire over the past 24 hours.

A few days ago, Kim Jong Un (who is currently hosting Xi Jinping) inspected a recently-completed new uranium enrichment plant at Yongbyon:

North Korea's Kim calls for 'exponential' nuclear expansion after inspecting new plant, KCNA says

Such a plant was spotted while under construction by the IAEA about a year ago; here is a good article from back then about it.

And here are images from the recent visit. Both the images and the analysis are interesting; the former because it gives an idea of the modern dimensions and layout of such a plant, the latter because it suggests the DPRK's HEU production might have been doubled since this new facility came online. Which, no shit, talk about being vindicated.

In other recent DPRK news, even western media has been forced to admit they're doing splendidly economically.

That WSJ article is wild, it is of course peppered with the usual NK fear mongering, but like you said there is a real conciliatory tone.

Also lol:

"Kim’s nuclear program thus far has proven to be a deterrent against military attacks or attempts to forcibly unseat him from power, enabling him to shift his focus to the economy. The economic progress dims hope for a nuclear deal with the U.S., since Washington has often dangled sanctions relief or economic incentives to get Pyongyang to freeze, halt or relinquish its nuclear program. "

Shocking you can start improving conditions when you don't have to worry about a US invasion everyday.

Pokémon Go Collect Data for the Defense Sector - "Scans by Dutch Pokémon Go players may have helped U.S. develop military drone technology"

hillgasm squirtle-jam obama-drone part-of-history

Millions of Pokémon Go players who spent years scanning their surroundings for in-game rewards allegedly unknowingly contributed to a highly detailed navigation system developed by Niantic Spatial, a U.S.-based company spun out of the original Pokémon Go developer, that is now set to be used in military drones and robots, Trouw reports.

Nearly 30 billion scans collected from hundreds of millions of players have become the property of Niantic Spatial and were reportedly used to train a 3D model enabling precise navigation when GPS signals are unavailable. Late last year, Niantic Spatial and U.S. software company Vantor announced that Vantor would deploy the system in drones and other military robots. Vantor specializes in spatial intelligence software for defense applications.

The company denies that it would use Pokémon Go data directly. However, Trouw reports that it also declines to confirm whether it trained the model it plans to deploy using those scans.

“Without the huge number of scans from all those gamers, the development of this system would never have progressed so quickly,” Jeroen van den Hoven, a professor of ethics and technology at TU Delft, told Trouw. “The players have indirectly, perhaps minimally but still effectively, contributed to military applications.” Van den Hoven said it is difficult to identify exactly which parts of the 3D model were trained with Pokémon Go scans because AI models are enriched with many datasets and no longer contain traceable original data.

The scans were also used to train navigation for those delivery robots that get stuck on the sidewalks all the time, apparently.

In response to earlier questions from Trouw about a separate partnership with delivery company Coco Robotics, a spokesperson said Pokémon Go scans were used to train an “early version” of the model. The company said players had voluntarily agreed to the terms and that it operates ethically

Civil war-type scenes are emerging from Bolivia.

The government passed a law authorising US-backed President Rodrigo Paz to deploy the military against protesters.

Bolivian police and military forces have launched a joint operation to clear strike blockades in San Julián, Santa Cruz department, as a five-week general strike against neoliberalism continues to grip the country. The crackdown came with full government backing — multiple ministers arrived for what was intended as a photo opportunity declaring victory over the movement.

Instead, entire communities mobilised, forcing security forces to retreat after more than four hours of sustained resistance on the highway. The mobilisations, demanding the resignation of President Rodrigo Paz, have left at least ten people dead, 37 injured, and over a hundred facing prosecution, according to the Ombudsman's Office.

Meanwhile, in El Alto — the indigenous city encircling the capital — daily popular assemblies are being held where communities vote on strike strategy and assess the movement's progress. A new form of grass-roots democracy is taking shape on the streets.

Iran Strikes Air bases in Jordan including F-35 hangars

🔺 IRGC Claims Strikes on U.S. Air Base in Jordan, Says 21 Targets Hit Across Region

The IRGC issued a statement claiming it struck 21 targets at U.S. air and naval bases across the region and separately targeted Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, according to Khabar Fouri.

The statement said IRGC aerospace forces used long-range solid-fuel missiles to destroy four targets at Al-Azraq, including F-35 fighter hangars and a command and control center. The IRGC also reiterated its earlier claim of shooting down a U.S. MQ-9 drone over Jam County in Bushehr Province.

“Our forces are ready to deliver a crushing and decisive response to any renewed aggression by the enemy,” the statement said, adding that “the consequences of any renewed aggression lie with the American enemy.”

The claims could not be independently verified.

BREAKING: Iran says talks have now "completely stalled" due to Trump's positions and actions, saying that as long as Trump does not accept all of Iran's demands in the draft, the 60-day negotiation period has no chance of beginning and Iran won't sign, per a source close to Iran's Ghalibaf.

Vance's new statements say the deal involves "no cash" and "no funds released for signing," while Iran's draft requires the US to release $24 billion in frozen funds and pay Iran $300 billion in war reparations before Iran signs anything.

There clearly isn't an agreement.

I have the feeling both trump and vance are willing to pay Iran, but because both would never admit to it to save face, it makes Tehran very untrusting of them to follow with the deal

The IAEA Board of Governors has issued a resolution against Iran, demanding it to disclose the location of its enriched uranium and allow IAEA inspections to nuclear sites The resolution passed with 21 votes in favor, 3 against, and 10 abstentions. Iran will take ‘reciprocal measures’ in response to the resolution.

Iran’s UN representative: ‘It is literally and physically impossible to allow inspections, because the sites have been bombed and the material is now buried under the ground. The hypocrisy of this Board knows no limits and has shown its lack of professionalism by issuing this resolution, which is political in nature.’

The [Ukrainian] Ministry of Defense sets a goal for up to 50% of stormtrooper and infantry positions in the Ukrainian army to be held by foreigners. "We are opening the market for recruiting foreigners to strengthen combat units and save the lives of Ukrainian military personnel. Our goal is to fill up to 30–50% of stormtrooper and infantry positions with foreigners," stated the Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov. How Ukrainian of them. They want someone else to fight for them in positions with life expectancy of less than a day.

uh... critical support to Ukraine in its effort of global denazification by bringing all the prospective fascists in one place to be blown up by Russia? may the list only grow further!

https://archive.ph/uV4yu

Ukraine Aims to Fill Up to Half of Assault Infantry Positions With Foreign Recruits

Ukraine is seeking to dramatically expand the role of foreign recruits in its military, with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov saying the government aims for foreigners to fill up to half of all assault and infantry positions.

more

Ukraine plans to open its military recruitment system to foreign nationals and aims to have foreigners fill as many as half of all assault and infantry positions in its armed forces, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said. The proposal is part of a broader effort to strengthen combat units while reducing the burden on Ukrainian troops fighting Russia’s full-scale invasion, Fedorov said in a statement. “We are opening the foreign recruitment market to strengthen combat units and preserve the lives of Ukrainian service members,” Fedorov said. According to the minister, the government’s goal is for foreign nationals to occupy between 30% and 50% of assault and infantry positions in the Ukrainian military. Fedorov also said the government plans to begin gradually releasing from military service those who have spent the longest time in Ukraine’s armed forces and have served the most time in combat. The process is expected to start before the end of the year.

He described the initiative as only the first stage of a broader military transformation. A second phase will focus on overhauling recruitment and mobilization procedures. Fedorov said the government is seeking to build an army with clear rules and greater respect for service members, adding that protecting the lives of soldiers remains a top priority.

lol. lmao

Such an army, he said, would give Ukraine a stronger position from which to bring the war to an end. Zelensky said direct funding for combat brigades and more flexible personnel distribution have already shown results, alongside increased autonomy for units in training and staffing decisions. “These are solid foundations for introducing fixed terms of service,” he said, adding that the effectiveness of the reforms should become visible over the summer.

Ukraine launches a major reform of its wartime military

Ukraine is moving to boost the financial resilience of its armed forces and overhaul military service conditions, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky on Friday said he held talks with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, with top military leadership backing the reform package. The plan aims to strengthen defense funding, modernize contracts, and introduce clearer service timelines in an army that has been under wartime strain since 2022. Zelensky said the government has the resources to raise military salaries, including a minimum of Hr.30,000 ($667) for rear-area service, with higher compensation depending on combat intensity. He also announced new infantry contracts offering an average of Hr.300,000 ($6,667) for frontline positions. “New, significantly stronger contracts for infantry will be introduced,” he said, stressing the central role of Ukraine’s ground forces. Currently, the maximum base salary for infantry is about Hr.100,000 ($2,222) in frontline conditions with combat bonuses, while rear positions typically start from much lower levels.

Iran strikes back

🔹The IRGC issued the following statement, via Tasnim News:

“The war-mongering American regime in the early hours of this morning, under false pretexts, attacked several locations in Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm, causing damage to a telecommunications tower in Sirik and destroying two water storage tanks in the Bamani district of that county.

In response to this malicious act by the enemy, fighters of the IRGC Navy at 2:30 AM launched a drone attack against the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

Engagements are continuing and the noble guardians of the Iranian nation are responding to the enemy’s aggressions. If the hostilities continue, heavier responses are on the way.”

First successful Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile attack of the war against Russia this morning:

Videos

Flamingo missile almost 1000km inside Russia:

End result. Even just one or two of these do a lot more damage than one way attack drones.

This is notable because of what the Flamingo cruise missile is, an easy target to shoot down in theory. It's not a sophisticated stealth cruise missile or anything like that. It took Ukraine a long time to actually achieve a successful strike like this, because of factors around that, accuracy when the missile did penetrate air defences, etc. But it could show that Russian air defences are increasingly strained if more successful flamingo attacks happen in future.

An explanation of the Flamingo cruise missile, there are one or two inaccuracies but the gist is correct

CNN - Trump says US will "declare total victory" over Iran in next two weeks. President Donald Trump suggested that the United States would be declaring “total victory” over Iran in the next two weeks in a tele-rally for South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, who is on the primary ballot Tuesday.

"We’re negotiating now, and they want to make a very good deal. They’re willing to give us everything, they’re willing to give us no nuclear weapon. I think we are winning that battle, but you’re really going to win it over the next two weeks when we declare total victory, it’ll be a total victory, it’ll happen very soon, and oil prices will come tumbling down."

It’s not the first time he’s made promises about significant progress in “two weeks.” The ceasefire with Iran, announced on April 7, was initially supposed to last two weeks while the two sides finished a deal to end the war. Asked on Meet the Press why Iran hasn’t agreed to a deal if they are desperate to make one, as he has said repeatedly, the president said:

"Because they’re strong. They’re proud. There are things they never thought they’d be doing that they’re going to have to do. They’ve got no choice. And it takes a little while."

Protests happening in Iran against the proposed "memorandum of understanding."

I would like to point out two important things.

  1. We would agree that these people and their demands represent the revolutionary position of proletarian masses, and as Helyeh Doutaghi pointed out, the nightly protests played a major role in forcing the government to strike in defense of Lebanon last week.

She wrote:

there has been a noticeable intensification of demands in response to escalating violence against Lebanon over the past week in the streets of Iran. Many carry Hezbollah flags and have been calling for action. In this, pressure emanating from the popular base of the revolution has significantly shaped the posture of the armed forces, particularly amid internal tensions among differing political factions, including reformist elements within Iran.

For those still reading: The Islamic Republic of Iran is a democracy and the revolution is ongoing. Its time to retire this orientalist myth of "authoritarian dictatorship" that infects the international subconscious and discourse on Iran

  1. You will notice in the protest video above that there are many women, most of whom are in Chador. I have heard from some people who participate in the nightly rallies that less than 5% of the women participants over the last 100 days are with "bad hijab" or no hijab.

I would like every single person who reads this to get this into your head: There are many revolutionary women in Iran. And the revolutionary women in Iran are overwhelmingly Pious Believing Muslims.

These women are playing a major role in shaping the past present and future of the Islamic Republic and therefore the region (and the planet.)

And that hijab, and especially Chador, are inseparable from the anti-imperialist orientation of the Islamic Revolution.

Those left/liberals who continue to espouse their Islamophobic tendencies against "Iranian theocracy" and against hijab are positioning themselves in the camp of zionism. End of story.

Ok Trump has been bragging about how they are getting oil out of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman getting 100 million barrels out. We got some numbers from an actual source so let's check the rate

Energy Analyst for Kpler

Since early May, @Kpler tracked roughly 96 million barrels of confirmed non-Iranian crude exports through either: direct Strait of Hormuz transits, or Gulf of Oman export networks. Including cargoes still loading, total flows exceeded 100 million barrels, broadly consistent with Trump’s claim that more than 100 million barrels reached global markets during the period. #OOTT

Including cargoes still loading

Ok let's be generous and just assume this is a low percentage of the 100 mill or that they get it out and stick with 100 mill barrels. Now it also states from early May, it's early June so let's go with 100 million barrels over 30 days. That gives us 3.3 mb/d

Pre war flow rate was around 20 mb/d. Take a percentage (3.3 / 20 ) * 100% = 16.5 % of the original flow rate. Remember this is the generous scenario, there is still a daily 16.7 mb deficit.

Now let's take a quick peak at reserves per Reuters

WASHINGTON, June 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. is seeking to loan energy companies up ‌to 40 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to help push fuel prices down, the Department of Energy said on Wednesday. The latest U.S. offer to loan the oil is part of a previous U.S. agreement to release 172 million barrels from the facility. So far the U.S. has loaned about 133 million barrels of the oil in that agreement.

Don't worry guys we got 2.5 days of deficit left for you. Not sure about global oil reserves, I got to go do IRL stuff, if anyone wants to check that I would appreciate it. But even if global strategic reserves are still topped off (lol) , I don't think there's any scenario where they can meet the deficit for much longer

‘Rent now, pay later’ loans target US consumers squeezed by housing costs | Financial Times

Fintech groups are seeking to capitalise on the growing number of Americans who struggle to pay for housing, offering “rent now, pay later” loans as the cost of living pushes up demand for short-term financing.

Is that good?

BREAKING: Iran directly rejects Trump's new claim of a deal being signed tomorrow, saying the insistence on signing the deal on specifically Sunday is engineered around his own birthday, calling it a "propaganda event" that Trump is trying to turn into a unilateral "symbolic occasion" for himself, along with his UFC White House event, per Fars.

The Iranian negotiating team says it "will not permit such a media and ceremonial manoeuvre," explicitly stating that the memorandum of understanding has not been finalized and no signing will happen.

Rioters set homes, vehicles and buses on fire across Belfast in a night of destruction fueled by anti-immigration anger. Fire crews scrambled to extinguish burning cars as crowds gathered in the streets and police cordoned off areas. The unrest erupted after a Sudanese man was charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack in north Belfast. At least two homes were seen engulfed in flames as the rioting spread through residential areas. Northern Ireland's political leaders condemned the violence, with First Minister Michelle O'Neill calling for calm and urging communities not to let extremists set the agenda

Finnish state media is reporting (article in finnish, couldn't find an english translation) that the police, customs, and border guard have "already been using Palantir's technologies for a long time". At least since 2013, according to the article. They have not specified what they are using it for, other than "prevention of crime".

I kind of already knew this, but it is becoming more and more apparent that this cursed Hitlerite chihuahua country is going to go full throttle into the Great Satan's fascist abyss. Some other european cuck-nations have at least made some more or less milquetoast expressions of resistance to the yankoids' technohitler bullshit, but not us, not even performatively; we're all in. I've also been informed that Flock apparently has an office in Tampere and that microsoft is building a giga data center in Vaasa... 我需要学习中文 and get the fuck outta here...

Bloomberg on "why aren't oil prices higher"

Big ones are reduced imports for China, some oil leaving the gulf without passage of the strait, increased production from other areas, and lower demand in general over the spring and summer. Article is worth reading.

Bolivian Crisis Deepens As 36 Protesters Are Arrested in La Paz - Telesur English

Article

Bolivia’s police violently repressed a massive demonstration in La Paz this Thursday, detaining 36 people and injuring dozens during popular mobilizations demanding the immediate resignation of President Rodrigo Paz.

The political and social crisis in Bolivia escalated dramatically on June 11. The Bolivian Workers Union (COB, in Spanish) led a massive march in the capital, breaking a two-week period during which national security forces had kept the city center closed to social demonstrations. Witnesses and Human Rights defenders denounced the excessive use of force, chemical agents and physical violence by the police forces to disperse the peaceful demonstrators.

Week The mobilization began on May 1, after the national Executive rejected a petition submitted by more than 70 trade unions without providing any explanation. Since then, the administration of President Rodrigo Paz has systematically criminalized the social protests, labeling the demonstrators as participants in “narcoterrorism” and arbitrarily arresting prominent social leaders.

During today’s operations, the Police Command issued a controversial communique “recommending” that journalists, media workers and social media reporters keep their distance from the intervention zones. Human Rights organizations and independent press associations interpreted this measure as a deliberate attempt to shield police brutality and arbitrary detentions from public cameras and international scrutiny.

Furthermore, President Paz announced that he has a clear legal path to declare a state of exception at any moment. On June 8, the President promulgated the controversial Law 1740, which regulates states of exception. This legislation explicitly authorizes the Bolivian Armed Forces and the National Police to conduct joint military operations to suppress public demonstrations and clear roadblocks.

The implementation of a militarized state of exception would drastically suspend constitutional guarantees, reducing civil rights to a minimum. Currently, social organizations have established more than 90 highway blockades across national roads, completely cutting off major transit routes to demand the President’s resignation.

These continuous roadblocks have severely affected the supply of food and essential goods in La Paz and El Alto. The resulting scarcity has caused prices of the basic food basket to skyrocket. Additionally, a black market for fuel has emerged, where gasoline and diesel are sold at prices up to five times higher than the official state-regulated rate.

Faced with the threat of total militarization, the Catholic Church and the Ombudsman’s Office issued an urgent joint statement this Thursday, calling for an immediate departmental pact between the Government and social organizations to stop the state repression, avoid further bloodshed and find a negotiated political solution to the national conflict.

Explosion of Ukrainian naval drone in Romania’s Constanța port triggers fresh tensions

That’s a remarkable place for a naval drone to explode, assuming they lost control.

Is there an element in the Ukrainian military that is simply bombing Romania now?

Two of the better articles you'll read this week on how the US keeps the A-10 relevant on the battlefield, despite being arguably obsolete since it's introduction into service with the USAF in 1977. I'll try do a write up on the pictures of munitions used, the AN/ALQ-218 Angry Kitten EW pod, and the addition of probe and drouge refueling if I have time. Highly recommend reading both.

Munitions use

EW and Mid air refueling

Preliminary count of:

  • 345x 500lb GBU-38 JDAM/GBU-54 LJDAMs.
  • 37x 2000lb GBU-31 series JDAMs.
  • 106x GBU-39 SDB.
  • 59x ADM-160 MALD (decoys).

Also of the 12x A-10Cs deployed, only 11 returned. The most confirmation you'll get on a loss. 1x A-10C was lost at some point (most likely shot down by Iran during a RESCAP as rumoured), the rest have all returned.

However while the A-10s return, the US has deployed even more strategic bombers to RAF Fairford in the UK. 3x B-1B Lancer and 2x B-52H Stratofortress bombers recently arrived, for a total of 18x B-1Bs and 9x B-52Hs. 27 strategic bombers in RAF Fairford. 6 B-2 Spirit stealth bombers in Australia (I think). The USA has 33 strategic bombers forward deployed across the globe currently.

Also it's June 2026. The Russia - Ukraine war has now officially gone on for longer than the entirety of WW1. SpaceX has launched more satellites into space than the rest of the world combined throughout history. We are on the 363545th instance of a Iran-USA ceasefire deal being "close". We live in a hell of our own creation.

8 arrested in FBI raids related to pro-Palestine advocacy at University of Michigan

Authorities are alleging the group, identified as a “group of college-aged adults,” vandalized property, threw glass jars with chemicals through windows and left threatening notes to pressure University of Michigan and local businesses into divesting from Israel, FBI Director Kash Patel said on social media.

The group is now facing a 10-count indictment, Patel said. All eight are associated with the University of Michigan and are ages 21 to 28, U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr. said.

They have been charged with conspiracy to transmit a threat. Zainab Hakim and Feyock are also both charged with conspiracy to tamper with a witness. Sepulveda has also been charged with destruction of property to prevent seizure after he allegedly deleted the contents of his phone and laptop prior to the execution of a search warrant.

If convicted, they face up to five years in prison. Hakim and Feyock face up to 20 years in prison.

NYT - Jordanian air defenses intercepted five missiles launched from Iran toward the Azraq region, according to a military statement published by Jordan’s official news agency on Wednesday. The military said the debris from the interceptions caused no material damage or casualties. The Iranian military had said earlier that it fired missiles at U.S. military facilities in Azraq.

The area is home to Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, an important hub for U.S. military operations in the region. The base was damaged during the early days of the war, according to satellite imagery.
