r/MenAndFemales

There is no Lemmy equivalent

[–] WalrusDragonOnABike@reddthat.com 16 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

118 pure genders (each with subtypes, like 55Fe and 57Fe). Then there's the near-infinite number of compound genders!

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 1 points 50 minutes ago

Some of those 118 genders are highly unstable, though.

Don't forget radioactive genders, which decay to a predictable mixture of other genders

[–] Gormadt@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 2 hours ago

Or also the theorized island of stable genders beyond the 118 we've got on the chart.

[–] EffortlessGrace@piefed.social 7 points 10 hours ago

I always felt connected to my inner Americium, but my mom said I'm a lanthanide through and through. My actinide father said, "don't sweat it, she's acting like a typical halogen."

[–] redsand@infosec.pub 3 points 9 hours ago

Some say there's an island beyond 118 with more

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 13 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Iron people exit wheelchair. Manganese people must use wheelchair.

[–] swab148@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 hours ago

My headcanon is that they're both raising their disabled children

[–] tensorpudding@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

You might say these genders are fixed at birth, but what part of the table are they in? The what metals?

[–] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 5 points 10 hours ago

They aren't. Many people were born as uranium but end as lead.

[–] QueenMidna@lemmy.ca 2 points 10 hours ago

This is an incredibly underrated joke

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 8 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

That wheelchair is also confusing?

You are in a wheelchair and you get reassignment treatment to become Iron .... or else you are a Manganese and you end up in a wheelchair after reassignment surgery

[–] Damage@feddit.it 9 points 12 hours ago

Wheelchair people are clearly tiny here and must be helped by an Iron in the toilet

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago

And here I always thought they were tungsten

[–] Deebster@infosec.pub 5 points 12 hours ago

Blahaj approves of this meme

[–] rbos@lemmy.ca 1 points 9 hours ago

Hah, we have those exact signs at work. I should compare them, maybe they're actually from there.

[–] frank@sopuli.xyz 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I'm Neon. Who are you today?

[–] UltraMagnus0001@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

Shouldn't the men be iron ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

I just know that there's a joke her about gender chemistry, but I took physics and I got nothing.
