I have no clue how any of this is gonna play out and am comfortable admitting it. I'd barely be surprised if Gamera arose from the sea to defend the Iranian children.

One of the worst feuds I had with a loved one over politics was about Biden and Harris not ending the genocide in Palestine. I said its possible as Reagan, Dubya, and Obama all told them to quit their shit at some point during their presidency. I was told it's naive to think either Biden or Harris will do it or have the power to stop it.

I'm still fucking fuming over that.

While the only way Trump would consider telling Israel to fuck off is for is fragile ego, it is still a possibility. Biden and Harris would never.

Not that this comment adds much of substance, but just for the sake of commiseration: same here! I still can't forgive a close family member, a supposed "lefty" for refusing to admit that Biden/Harris were complicit in the genocide of Palestinians in the first place, and later when Trump (re)took office, that the Democrat admin had been just as complicit as Trump (let alone that the former are arguably more complicit when timing is considered). I had had arguments with this person in the past due to their Trump derangement syndrome, and just their thoughtless adherence to liberal children's stories in general, but that one in particular caused lasting harm to the relationship and I will never look to them in the same way again.

I know this is probably pretty meaningless, but I drove through a heavily rural area last weekend. Previously, I’d see Trump signs all over the place. Didn’t see a single one this time. Idk why the polls don’t reflect this, but it certainly seems like he’s lost a good chunk of support from his base. At least where I live.

I live in a rural college town and heard some boomer locals talking about how badass the pilot rescue was and then they immediately pivoted to how the war is dumb and they don't understand why he did it. I found interesting because they are his base "rah-rah" red meat crowd and they were getting pissed
