Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). His body has automatically gone into draft deferment mode. In the coming weeks, we may see all manner of manifestations.

[–] stickly@lemmy.world 13 points 13 hours ago

If it's a legitimate draft the body has ways of shutting it down

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 5 points 10 hours ago

A spur of the moment if you will?

Looks like it could be shingles. That shit can really hurt.

People, particularly old people, with weak immune systems get it pretty often.

[–] Arghblarg@lemmy.ca 42 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

By the way, look at that horribly mangled, blown-off and then reconstructed ear following the assassination attempt. Why, that bandage he wore for a few days must've been truly miraculous. Amazing /s

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

I believe the bullet skimmed the top of an over ketchup'd hot dog before whizzing nearby his ear at this point.

Mf's probably on every blood thinner known to man to keep his clogged ass McDonalds arteries open.

[–] kieron115@startrek.website 7 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (1 children)

I honestly can't tell what's satire with him anymore so forgive me if this was a joke, but I saw a quote where he said he takes like 3,000mg of tylenol daily, against his doctor's advice, to keep his blood thin because "who would want thick blood?"

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 hours ago

Not tylenol, it was aspirin.

A massive overdoes of tylenol would be toxic to his liver and do us all a favor. But we're not so lucky, sadly.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 27 points 19 hours ago (3 children)

Looks like they graduated from hand IVs to neck...

Which would be horrible news for virtually any patient, but in this case I feel most wouldn't have the same reaction

It looks like staphylococcus.

[–] tpyo@lemmy.world 10 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, I was thinking shingles. Which I understand to be incredibly uncomfortable (not sure about a staph infection though it still isn't pleasant)

[–] RustyShackleford@piefed.social 9 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Both conditions are unpleasant, but I had a stronger gut instinct towards staph. It’s possible he has shingles because I suspect he never received the vaccine, and his condition is likely not being adequately cared for.

He’s probably receiving the same level of treatment as someone on their deathbed, dragged out for press coverage. Your family has to genuinely care about you, or shenanigans ensue.

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

Very likely, but how messed up do you have to be for it to be attacking your neck that hard, while under the best medical care in the country?

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 8 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Must be that bullshit-resistant strain, to have been able to grow so close to his talking hole

[–] Kowowow@lemmy.ca 7 points 17 hours ago

Man if some kind of outbreak happens because they can't let him die it would fit his legacy

Thoughts and prayers to the red blotch.

[–] astronaut_sloth@mander.xyz 12 points 16 hours ago

I can only imagine the blotch's suffering while being attached to that putrid growth. Best wishes to the blotch.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 51 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

I sure hope it's something serious, thoughts and prayers. 🙏

[–] Wytch@lemmy.zip 33 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

Hey, whoa, whoa. Let's consider our words. Let's hope it hurts, too.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 14 points 18 hours ago

As long as it's not benign, that would be awful.

It would be so awesome if he suddenly just dropped dead

[–] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 33 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

It would be so funny if he was doing one of his bullshit press conferences where he gets pathetic sycophants to bow and scrape before the king, when they gradually realize that he's been sitting there dead for about ten minutes while they pretended like nothing was wrong for fear of making him look weak.

[–] homes@piefed.world 19 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Lol, that would be really funny

[–] FaceDeer@fedia.io 22 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

"Death of Stalin" vibes, where Stalin lay dying on the floor in his room for hours because nobody wanted to risk disturbing him.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 hours ago

I want to see the Ianucci film "Death of Trump." Who else could do justice to this murderous farce?

And, please, let's have it with blood spraying out of every orifice while he squirms and screams but nobody helps him.

[–] cmbabul@lemmy.world 5 points 12 hours ago

This is so important. It happening during a speech or press event would be the best we could hope for, there will be denials and conspiracy no matter what but its harder to fuck with actual reality when someone watched happen. Note that i didnt say impossible, just harder

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (2 children)

What would it change now? Most major news sources in the U.S. would still be supporting this MAGA movement because it supports not taxing the rich. The people claiming the leader is losing their mental acquity no longer have to worry about such because you replace him with a younger white man who believes women need to know their place, trans people should all be killed, and every non-white person is a criminal. Trump didnt even believe all those things, but it seems the overton window could somehow potentially move further right with Trump's death.

If Trump dies tomorrow MAGA supporters aren't going to suddenly realize the deportation efforts and mistreatment of colored people in the U.S. was all because of underlying racism and being lied to. We would just have 2.5 years of JD Vance being President and someone like Stephen Miller puppeting/assigning Vance a VP who they think they could set up to be the next president in 2028 since they don't believe they could sell Vance as being a proper dictator.

Guess I don't have much of a glass half full look on this..

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 13 hours ago

It would change a LOT. MAGA is a classic Cult of Personality, revolving around Trump and NOBODY else. There isn't even a clear #2, with several people who are going to feel entitled to automatically take over, and many who feel they should be the successor.

Meanwhile, the people love Trump, and NOBODY else. They will NOT transfer their loyalty to anyone else. They may try to play along for a while, but their hearts won't be in it, and without Rush Limbaugh around to flog them into action, they'll fall by the wayside over the next couple of elections.

When he dies, the knives will come out, and the backstabbing will begin. When that happens, Dems should just stay out of the way, and enjoy the show. Maybe an occasional "You going let him say that about you?"

[–] pivot_root@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

On the other side of the half-adjective glass, consider that Trump's biglyest advantage has been the cult of personality propping him up. Vance doesn't have the experience or charisma to be able to sell himself to morons as their one true messiah and savior. The moderates will fall in line, but the brainwashed indoctrinees who wanted Trump and only Trump won't just settle for a consolation prize.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Well unless we get something like 75 percent of the country resoundly supporting killing Citizens United and stating companies can't lobby at all unless they accept extra taxation on their income before reducing to profits, it'll still end up being a lot of corruption that's nearly unsolvable

In a July letter from the president’s physician, Sean Barbabella said the hand bruising was consistent with tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and aspirin use for “standard cardiovascular prevention.”

Sean Barbabella you ignorant slut.
