I think it's a reference to the photo of bloody-eared trump holding up his fist with the flag fortuitously placed in the background.
Normally I'm against this conspiracy but when it's our boy Kelly I will allow it.
Reminds me of an ancient SNL sketch where record executives tried to convince Rock Star Dana Carvey to die so his sales would go up. The evidence they presented to make the case:
