We didn't stand with the gays when they came for the gays because we weren't gay

We didn't stand with trans when they came for the trans people because we weren't trans

We didn't stand with the immigrants when they came for the immigrants because we were born here

Now that they come for us the straight cis unmarried couples there is no one to stand with us

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 17 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Incels stay winning? It does say unmarried "couples" so you're cool if you're no gf think-about-it

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

What happens to those that're undefined, do they get redacted-1 redacted-2 ? Like what about polycules?

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 15 points 4 days ago

Yeah me thinks they didn't think about those people surviving the fash purge

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 33 points 4 days ago (1 children)

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 20 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You know the couples in there be fucking.

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 22 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It'll probably turn into a culty sex commune, only in my dreams though liberty-weeping

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah you're most likely right on that one.

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah but not the way I'd want it, it'd be all cishet grecoromanesque and Christian-y

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

cishet

grecoromanesque

Ironic.

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 7 points 4 days ago

No no I'm saying that that's the camp turned sex cult under the barbaric project 2025 vs my civilized queer trans gae bi pan penis internationalist socialist fascism with femdom characteristics.

It'll be known as Project: Transgaeda

I'll be taking no more notes or questions

As NBC News reports, the Heritage Foundation is pushing the White House to pass initiatives to financially reward newlyweds, create deeper tax incentives for married couples, discourage online dating — paradoxically, it would seem — and even start opening government-run “marriage bootcamps.”

According to the Heritage Foundation’s framework, called “Saving America by Saving the Family,” the camps would serve as reeducation centers for unmarried couples

I smell a grift. Anywho, there was some similar wastes of money under Dubya. There’s a very simple seen-this-one correlation when it comes to marriage: people with better economic indicators are more likely to be married than people with economic insecurity. So improve people’s economic wellbeing and we’ll see more marriages. Of course, the Heritage Foundation’s concern for America’s moral status goes out the window the moment that concern threatens porky-happy’s bottom line.

I don't really get the point of this even from a deranged fascist viewpoint, I'd "understand" doing this to force couples to have kids, but what's the point of forcing people to get married when divorces exist. Do they also plan to make getting divorced illegal or borderline impossible or somehow force married people to have kids something?

[–] MeetMeAtTheMovies@hexbear.net 15 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

I don’t follow. You’ve picked up on the point perfectly well

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 3 points 3 days ago

Ultra conspiracy: they're trying to get more divorced men because they tend to be fascist chuds, so they can increase their stormtrooper numbers

I didn't like The Lobster because it felt contrived and didn't really seem like it was satirizing anything. I guess I owe Yorgos Lanthimos an apology.

You think it'll be like captive wolves? Like you think I'll find my alpha to my zeta? Also, does a zeta become an alpha when they top the alpha? If so, what happens to the 'alpha'? I've never actually read any omegaverse 'theory' so I've got no clue.

[–] TerminalEncounter@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago

whe n you top a zeta you become a zeta, the the źeta moves up one and becomes a ziti which is a delicious pasta dish 😋 yim yum

"Completion of the program means walking down the aisle" sounds like a hostage situation holy shit. Escape the torture camps in a body bag or matrimony, your choice.

[–] Mindfury@hexbear.net 20 points 4 days ago (1 children)

putting the sheer majority of your voter base under 70 into camps seems like it might be detrimental but i dunno, i don't work at a think tank

[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 18 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Depending on where you place the camps, it could really help you game the census for the electoral college and congressional map.

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 23 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (2 children)

I would kill my way out or die killing

I never went to any camp and never will

Summer, space, band or etc.

Nothing can ever make me a camper

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 17 points 4 days ago

I'm on a one way ticket to one of RFK Jr.'s "wellness camps"

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 4 points 4 days ago

Ive camped, in like...a tent. But I would never go to a camp.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 21 points 4 days ago

Hell yeah history nerds we are doing Anabaptist Muenster Rebellion speedrun

[–] regul@hexbear.net 20 points 4 days ago (1 children)

[–] StarkWolf@hexbear.net 17 points 4 days ago (2 children)

These marriage camps wouldn't possibly also be gay conversion camps for lgbt people right? anakin-padme-2 I'm a gay trans woman.... would they give me a husband to make me straight, or a wife? What's the straight option there? thonk

I also love the opening line:

the think tank behind the infamous Project 2025 policy wishlist, which dragged down Trump’s most recent reelection campaign with its massively unpopular proposals

citations-needed it-is-known I really don't think the opinions of people who did not vote for Trump really need to be considered here. They weren't the target audience for these proposals. It didn't drag down his election campaign. These proposals were incredibly popular with their target audience. Like, he won.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 10 points 4 days ago

Didn't drag his campaign down enough to do anything

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 5 points 4 days ago

a gay trans man? i skipped physics that day idk if the units cancel properly

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 12 points 4 days ago

I'm guessing the male version of these camps will be Andrew Tate style "here's how to trick women into sleeping with you to carry on the white race for another generation" stuff and the women's will be "You are worthless and should settle for the first guy who shows interest in you because your only value as a woman is as a baby factory."

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 13 points 4 days ago

They have to make gay marriage illegal before they do this or it would be completely pointless

[–] ComradeChairmanKGB@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I will never break my Volcel oath!

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

[–] LeninWalksTheEarth@hexbear.net 7 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (2 children)

[–] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 1 points 3 days ago

What's a gapefruit?

[–] Red_October@hexbear.net 4 points 4 days ago

Yeah the sequel to Barasca was pretty disappointing, I bet this horde of rabid colonizer savages can adapt it better for reality.
